Interview with Nádia Castro, Export Manager at Tromilux.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Nádia Castro: Our mission is the manufacture, assembly and marketing of lighting equipment. Thanks to our team of engineers, we are able to develop many different types of projects, starting with our standard products to much more customized ones.
In addition to manufacturing, we also focus on advising and accompanying the project.
We also count with a photometric laboratory, which allow us to intensely test our luminaries for photometry performance to meet international lighting Photometric Laboratory standards.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
N.C: We are currently working on a new catalog, which will feature many innovative solutions and also a number of developments on existing products.
Our goal is to meet all kinds of requests, whether with standard products, innovations, or products that have the possibility of being customized (in terms of size, color, curvature, etc.) so that we can accomplish any type of project.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
N.C: We offer a diverse range of products, both indoor and outdoor. We have suspended, surface and recessed lighting. We highlight our profiles, curves and round luminaires and in several references, there is also the possibility to add different accessories (lenses, projectors, pendents…)
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
N.C: Currently, the market is constantly evolving and developing. Thus, in order to stand out, we continuously bet on products and market diversity. We are aware that only the delivery of a good service and an image of confidence, combined with innovation and quality, meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
N.C: We feel that more and more customers see lighting as something not only utilitarian, but also as something that offers the possibility to decorate and create atmospheres. Indirect lighting is something that is becoming very sought after by our customers, but always with great emphasis on the search for our profiles.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
N.C: Considering that we are a company that bets on personalized projects, we can say that we constantly provide innovations. From accessories, to curved pieces, we are able to elaborate almost any kind of shape and figure desired by the customers.
For example, we recently manufactured a 10.87m x 5.99m exhibit piece (for an event here in Portugal), placed 5 meters high, with only 10 suspension points.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
N.C: We have high expectations for 2023. With the elaboration of the new catalog and products in mind, we believe that we will continue to satisfy our customers and we’ll also reach new ones all over the world. Our mission will remain to create and develop projects/solutions as well as produce and market lighting equipment with maximum competence, quality, safety and rigor.
