Interview with Artur Eliasz, Area Sales Manager at Technica Europe.
A brief description of the company and its activities.
Artur Eliasz: Technica is a company born from a dream in 1982. Our founder, Tony Haddad, had a vision to create automation solutions that would serve customers all around the globe. Today, that dream is a reality. We are proud to operate across four continents, delivering innovative, tailored production lines and automation solutions that help our clients increase operational efficiency and meet growing demands. But Technica is more than just a company – it’s a family. We take pride in the warm, collaborative environment we’ve cultivated, where every team member feels at home, and every customer is treated like a partner. Whether we’re tackling small-scale projects or massive global operations, we believe in going the extra mile to ensure our solutions perfectly fit the unique needs of every client.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
A.E: At Technica, our expertise is like a finely tuned symphony, with each part working harmoniously to achieve operational excellence. We specialize in providing complete automation solutions for industries such as food & beverage, dairy, water, home & personal care, edible and lube oil, and many more. Our main areas of activity include conveyors, packaging systems, palletizing and depalletizing – both conventional and robotic – and advanced quality control systems. We also design customized solutions for unique challenges, whether that’s handling mixed pallets, automating truck loading and unloading, or creating state-of-the-art digital solutions like SCADA systems and remote assistance tools. If there’s a bottleneck in your production line, we’re the ones to fix it – and probably in a way that will surprise you.
What’s the news about new products/services?
A.E: We’re always pushing the boundaries of what automation can do, and we’re excited to share some big news: One of our most groundbreaking innovations is the patented automatic truck and container loading/unloading system, iTLS. We recently showcased this system at LogiMAT in Stuttgart, and the feedback was fantastic! The USPTO has secured our patent application, validating what we’ve always known – that this innovative solution will revolutionize logistics.
But we have continuously expanded our range of automation solutions, with a focus on developing systems that address specific challenges – whether it’s handling bulk products, organizing mixed pallets, or improving packaging processes. By adopting this level of automation, companies can enhance their entire production line, boosting efficiency, reducing errors, and staying competitive in their industries. Our clients are increasingly seeking smarter and more efficient systems, and we are proud to be at the forefront of delivering exactly that.
What are the ranges of products/services?
A.E: Our product range is a true feast of technology, catering to a variety of industries and needs. We specialize in conveyors, palletizers, depalletizers, advanced inspection systems, and other handling systems that keep production lines flowing smoothly. Our solutions encompass everything from bulk product handling and packaging to palletizing and warehouse automation, ensuring that operations are efficient and reliable. But we don’t stop at the physical. We’re also deeply invested in digital transformation, offering advanced IIoT solutions, SCADA systems, and even virtual and augmented reality tools to enhance training and operational oversight. In short, whether you need to move, pack, or inspect something – we’ve got the solution for you. And each solution is tailored, because we believe that one size never fits all.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
A.E: The automation market is booming, and it’s no longer a surprise that businesses across the globe are turning to robotics and automated systems to enhance efficiency. Companies have come to realize that staying competitive in today’s world means embracing the latest technology. In Europe, where we have a strong local presence through our production facility in Poland, we’re seeing a growing demand for advanced, custom automation solutions.
In Poland for European market we are currently building projects with major international brands, delivering complex projects that have allowed us to expand our influence across Europe. We’re meeting the evolving needs of industries that are hungry for innovation. The market is evolving quickly as companies recognize the necessity of automation to stay competitive, and we’re well-positioned to meet these growing needs.
What can you tell us about market trends?
A.E: Market trends are evolving rapidly, and one of the most significant shifts we’re seeing is the increased demand for highly customized solutions. Off-the-shelf automation products can only take companies so far; they’re realizing that to truly optimize their operations, they need solutions tailored to their specific challenges. This is especially true in industries like logistics, e-commerce, and manufacturing, where every detail counts. We expect this trend to continue gaining momentum in the coming years as businesses look for more specialized automation systems to enhance their productivity. Another major trend is the rise of digitalization – more and more companies are integrating digital tools such as IIoT and SCADA systems into their production lines to monitor performance in real-time, predict maintenance needs, and optimize workflows. At Technica, we’re at the forefront of these trends, ensuring our customers are equipped for the future.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
A.E: Innovation is at the heart of what we do, and one of our most groundbreaking products include our automatic truck loading and unloading system iTLS – a solution that has drawn considerable attention due to its efficiency and unique design, marking a pivotal moment for logistics automation. But that’s not all.
We’re also leading the way with advanced solutions like our pack opening and automatic film removal systems for film-shrinked packs, which have significantly improved how companies handle packaging. Additionally, our solutions for rainbow or mixed pack formation, and mixed pallet palletizing and depalletizing, offer exceptional flexibility and efficiency for managing complex operations.
Embracing these technologies means businesses can not only speed things up and boost consistency but also cut down on costs and ramp up productivity. It’s like turning a dream into a reality that makes a real impact right on the factory floor.
Whether it’s in robotics, logistics, or digital transformation, our commitment to innovation is helping businesses stay competitive and agile in a rapidly changing world.
What estimations do you have for 2025?
A.E: Looking ahead to 2025, we’re optimistic that the demand for automation will continue to rise, particularly as companies seek more customized solutions. We anticipate a growing investment in personalized automation systems, as businesses recognize that standard solutions can only go so far. As for us at Technica, we plan to expand our presence in Europe and the Americas, continuing to serve our existing clients while attracting new ones with our innovative offerings. By end of 2024, we aim to build on our momentum and increase the number of projects we deliver. Who knows, maybe by then we’ll surpass our lucky number 4,000 projects completed and hit 5,000! We’re ready to embrace the future, and we’re confident that 2025 will bring exciting new opportunities for growth, innovation, and partnership.
