Sinbran stands for innovation in industrial filtration. Based near Munich, Germany, the company specializes in developing and producing sintered polyethylene (PE) filter elements laminated with expanded PTFE (ePTFE) membranes – a combination that delivers unmatched performance in dust filtration.
What sets SINBRAN® apart is its unique technological capability: SINBRAN® is the only company in the world able to laminate an ePTFE membrane directly onto a sintered PE filter body. This results in a robust, high-efficiency filter element that combines the structural stability of sintered polyethylene plastic material with the superior surface filtration properties of ePTFE.
Understanding the Client’s Challenge
At SINBRAN®, every project begins with understanding the customer’s specific challenge. Industrial processes are diverse, and so are their filtration needs — from fine chemical dusts to sticky metal oxides or high-load carbon applications.
Rather than offering standardized solutions, SINBRAN® focuses on modular, application-specific designs. This allows each filter to be optimized for the customer’s process conditions, ensuring low pressure drop, efficient cleaning, and long service life.
“Our goal is always the same,” says Marc-Antoine Peter, General Manager of Sinbran GmbH. “We help our customers transform filtration problems into productivity gains. A good filter not only keeps the air clean – it keeps the process running efficiently.”
From Problem to Productivity: A Practical Example
A recent project involved a customer struggling with recurring filter clogging and unplanned downtime. The dust was extremely fine and agglomerating, causing filter cartridges to blind quickly.

By switching to SINBRAN® elements with ePTFE surface lamination, the customer achieved consistent filtration performance, lower cleaning frequency, and stable differential pressure over time. Productivity increased by more than 30%, while maintenance costs dropped significantly.
Technology that Makes a Difference
SINBRAN® filters are characterized by a multi-layer membrane architecture capable of capturing particles as small as 0.01 µm. Unlike conventional media with uniform pore size, SINBRAN®’s structure acts like a dense, yet breathable barrier – comparable to a natural hedge that stops even the smallest particles from passing through while maintaining airflow.
The sintered PE body provides mechanical stability and chemical resistance up to 90 °C, while the laminated ePTFE layer ensures a true surface filtration effect. The combination delivers longer service life, lower compressed air consumption, and improved dust release during cleaning.
New Developments: SINBRAN® HT and SINBRAN® XL
Continuous innovation is part of SINBRAN®’s DNA. In response to market demand, the company recently introduced two new product lines that further extend its technological leadership:
- SINBRAN® HT – developed for high-temperature applications up to 130 °C, this series expands SINBRAN®’s range into process areas that were previously beyond the limits of conventional PE-based filters.
- SINBRAN® XL – engineered for larger air volumes and high dust load processes, this new generation features a 20% increase in effective filter area within the same installation space as a classical filter module. This improvement was achieved through an innovative tube geometry, delivering higher efficiency and longer service intervals.
Both product lines were presented at PowTech 2025, where the response from industry professionals was extremely positive. The results have been promising, confirming SINBRAN®’s direction toward even more robust and efficient filtration solutions for demanding industrial environments.

Sustainability and Efficiency
Sustainability is an integral part of SINBRAN®’s philosophy. The long service life of the filters minimizes waste, and their high cleaning efficiency reduces energy consumption. Additionally, the fully recyclable PE base material supports customers’ environmental objectives.
Collaboration and Support
SINBRAN®’s success is built on close collaboration with customers. From initial consultation to after-sales support, the company maintains open communication to ensure each filter performs exactly as intended.
“Our customers appreciate that we listen,” Marc-Antoine Peter adds. “We don’t sell filters off the shelf. We design solutions that integrate seamlessly into their processes.”

Looking Ahead
With industries focusing on cleaner production, energy efficiency, and process stability, demand for advanced filtration solutions continues to grow. SINBRAN®’s proprietary technology, proven performance, and customer-first approach make it a reliable partner for companies aiming to improve both air quality and productivity.
“We see the future of filtration in customized, intelligent systems that go beyond particle retention,”concludes Peter. “Filtration should be seen as a productivity tool – and that’s exactly what SINBRAN® stands for.”
