The future of technological and sustainable aviation in Europe will be shaped by a major transformation that combines technical innovation, ambitious public policies, and operational changes across the entire industry. In this context, eMobility Expo World Congress – MOW 2026 will bring together the main players in the sector in Málaga on March 10 and 11 to analyze the strategies positioning Europe at the forefront of the development and implementation of aeronautical technologies.
The exhibition will gather more than 6,000 congress participants, 370 experts and international leaders, and 200 exhibiting companies to analyze challenges and showcase solutions to advance toward more sustainable, autonomous, electrified, connected, and safe mobility across all segments, including air transport. The congress will feature experts such as Eduardo Carrillo de Albornoz, Managing Director of Boeing Technology Innovation Europe. With extensive experience in the aerospace industry, Carrillo de Albornoz will address Boeing’s commitment to sustainable and safe air mobility, based on integrated solutions that connect aircraft, infrastructure, and air traffic management, as well as advances in electric and hybrid propulsion, digitalization, and intelligent infrastructure management. All of this aims to accelerate decarbonization, improve the accessibility of urban and regional air transport, and foster public-private collaboration to scale interoperable and resilient solutions.
From Decarbonization to Smart Airlines and Airports
Aviation is facing its greatest transformation since the jet age, with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions without compromising safety, connectivity, or competitiveness. Ioan Bucuras, Deputy Director Spain at Transport & Environment, Europe’s leading organization advocating for clean transport and energy, will explore realistic pathways to decarbonization, focusing on scaling up sustainable aviation fuels (SAF and eSAF), advancing zero-emission aircraft technologies, and transforming airports into CO₂-neutral energy and mobility hubs, moving toward net-zero aviation.
In the pursuit of greater sustainability in aviation, the eMobility World Congress will bring together the Chief Sustainability Officers of Vueling, Santiago Lopezbarrena, and Air Europa, Rosa Nordfeldt. Both airlines will share how they use data and AI to improve performance and sustainability.

But it is not only airlines that are transforming into data-driven platforms; airports are as well. Airports are becoming intelligent ecosystems powered by automation, IoT, and AI, as is the case of Teruel Airport, the largest aircraft parking, maintenance (MRO), and recycling center in Europe. Its Managing Director, Alejandro Ibrahim Perera, will share how they achieve carbon neutrality through data-driven operations.
Technological Innovations Improving Efficiency and Safety in the Aerospace Industry
Cooperation between the aerospace industry, government agencies, and new technology players is driving a deeply interconnected ecosystem in which space infrastructure, navigation systems, and real-time data are becoming strategic pillars for safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mobility, both on Earth and beyond. In this context, eMobility Expo World Congress – MOW 2026 will focus on the concept of the “digital thread” applied to the aerospace sector: an architecture that continuously integrates all phases of the lifecycle — from design and simulation to operation and maintenance — connecting platforms, systems, and teams through a unified flow of data.
The Chief Operations Officer of the European Space Agency, Jorge Amador, together with industry experts, will address this new paradigm based on digital continuity and intelligent data management. An approach that combines artificial intelligence, advanced simulation, and real-time analytics to evolve toward predictive and adaptive models capable of anticipating risks, optimizing resources, and redefining the aerospace mobility of the future.
