Since the completion of the first car wash in the 1960s, the Wap WaschBär® system has continually evolved – since 2019 under the management of wwb-carwash. At the new location in Buch, the company combines tradition and innovation: development, production, engineering, service, sales, and management all work together under one roof.
Nilfisk veteran Uwe Gross accompanies the development of the self-service car washes from planning to installation. He is the “big brain” of wwb-carwash GmbH & Co. KG. Started in 2019 in the premises of Nilfisk GmbH in Bellenberg, the company quickly grew. The new location in Buch, with around 1,000 m² of space, ample parking, and optimal logistics conditions, now allows for future-oriented production and storage.
Modern accessible workspaces and ample room for customer appointments or employee training, as well as for service technicians operating nationwide, ensure that all orders can be processed efficiently. The high-bay warehouse with a “First In, First Out” function ensures smooth order processing. At the same time, customer-specific requests can be accommodated – from individual graphical designs of the system to personalized bonus cards.
Innovation is a top priority for WWB: touch operation in the program machines has been standard for years, as is cashless payment like NFC with mobile phones, debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Whether complete self-service car washes or self-service vacuums – all components are prepared here and finalized upon request or order.
The company’s management and analysis tool iWap, which has been in use for about 10 years, optimally supports every successful company. Every Wap WaschBär® system that is newly delivered or retrofitted includes this tool! Queries regarding consumption values, actual conditions, revenues, washing times, each individual bay or vacuum are all consolidated here with all relevant data! The required amount of water, heating power, underfloor heating, and antifreeze – all values are configured from the factory but can be adjusted individually on site or remotely. Specifically, revenues, cash withdrawals, value bonus cards, and cash income are recorded daily and provided at the end of the month in the required format and in compliance with GoBD!
The depth of production on the development side is 100% with wwb-carwash. All new developments, such as housings, front panels, as well as the carrier modules of the pump units down to individual cable harnesses/pipelines for the pump modules and everything related to the vacuum units, are also designed and produced at our Buch location.

The path to commissioning is often accompanied by detailed questions – their many years of experience over the past 20 years ensures that the team provides reliable profitability and potential analyses for each site.
