Ediltec Insulation is a manufacturing company founded in 1989, offering high-performance thermal insulation products for civil, industrial, and HVAC applications. Today, the company is one of Italy’s leading producers of polyisocyanurate (PIR) panels and extruded polystyrene (XPS) sheets.
Over the years, Ediltec has implemented processes and policies that comply with energy-saving and environmental protection regulations. It was one of the first Italian companies producing insulation materials and the first in the polyurethane sector to obtain a certified quality system in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001 standards. The company strongly focuses on environmentally friendly products and materials, adopting an eco-compatible management approach aimed at minimizing waste and reducing the use of natural resources. Its vision for technological research is oriented toward developing products with increasingly sustainable compositions.
Production Facilities
Ediltec Insulation S.p.A. has production plants and warehouses in three industrial areas:
- Ediltec Insulation S.p.A., Cellino Attanasio (TE, Italy)
- Ediltec D.o.o., Lepoglava (Croatia)
- Ediltec Bayern GmbH, Wackersdorf (Germany)
Market Presence & Logistics
Ediltec operates both nationally and internationally, supported by a modern and efficient distribution network. The centralized warehouse in Cellino Attanasio (TE) ensures fast order fulfillment, a wide product availability, and quick delivery times. The company’s strategic decision to position itself in central Italy allows it to efficiently serve both northern and southern regions.
Internationally, Ediltec benefits from its European production centers, enabling a strong presence across the continent and expanding into North Africa, the Middle East, and South America.

Product Range: Four Business Units
1. Polyisocyanurate (PIR) Insulation Panels
- PIR panels are among the best thermal insulation materials available.
- Produced with ozone-friendly blowing agents, free from CFCs and HCFCs.
- Rigid, closed-cell foam that is rot-proof, resistant to most chemicals, and high temperatures (up to 110°C).
- Various surface finishes available, with thermal conductivity values as low as λD 0.022 W/mK (EN 13165).
- Some aluminum-coated panels reflect UV radiation, enhancing thermal efficiency.
2. Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Sheets
- X-FOAM XPS sheets are widely used due to their versatility.
- Rigid, closed-cell foam ensures high compressive strength (up to 700 kPa).
- 100% recyclable, making them an eco-friendly choice.
- Water-resistant and vapor-permeable, ideal for:
- Flat roofs, sloped roofs, attics, and cavities
- Underfloor insulation in residential buildings
- Underground walls and foundations
3. Industrial Applications
- Insulation solutions for campers, doors, windows, signage, and sandwich panels.
- XPS sheets can be produced in custom sizes and precision-cut to minimal thicknesses (down to 0.5 cm with ±1 mm tolerances).

4. Pre-Insulated Air Duct Systems – POLIISO AIR
- Innovative pre-insulated air duct systems for HVAC applications.
- Includes pre-insulated polyurethane panels with aluminum coatings, plus accessories, machinery, and tools for optimal construction and installation.
The Importance of Thermal Insulation
- Thermal insulation is the most effective and economical energy-saving solution.
- Investment costs pay off in just a few years.
- A kWh saved through insulation is more valuable than one produced by an efficient boiler, as insulation materials outlast heating systems.
- Insulation reduces energy exchange between spaces, regulating heat flow for better comfort and lower energy costs.
- The best insulation materials have low thermal conductivity (λ), limiting heat transfer.
- Example: 5 cm of PIR insulation = 60 cm of brick or 2 meters of concrete.
Innovation & Sustainability
Ediltec Insulation S.p.A. stands out for its commitment to environmental sustainability.
- The entire production process is eco-friendly, using solar energy and eliminating harmful blowing agents.
- The company aims to reduce natural resource consumption and minimize waste, ensuring sustainable products and manufacturing.
- Certified for CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria) compliance and awarded the ANPE sustainability mark.
- Member of ANIT (National Association for Thermal & Acoustic Insulation), actively participating in XPS industry working groups to improve material sustainability.

The Future: Planning & Strategy
Ediltec’s main investments focus on:
- Logistics
- Specialized customer support
