Interview with Alessandro Brancaleoni, CEO of EEA Srl.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Alessandro Brancaleoni: The company’s main areas of activity include the research, design, and manufacture of intrusion detectors for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. EEA develops wired and wireless sensors, integrating advanced technologies to provide reliable detection, easy installation, and tailored protection for both installers and end users.

The company’s core strength lies in its ability to directly manage every phase of detector production, from sensor conception to the design and manufacture of electronic, mechanical, and plastic components, ensuring expertise and quality at every step.

Drawing on extensive experience in the security industry, EEA offers high-performance sensors for indoor and outdoor use, all designed and manufactured in Italy with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and long-term durability. The company operates under ISO 9001 quality management standards, ensuring that all products meet the highest international EN50131 standards. Many products for the EEA are certified with the IMQ Security System mark.

What’s the news about new products?

A.B: In terms of product news, EEA has recently updated its product catalog for 2026 and continues to expand and refine its detector lines covering every installation need. This includes innovative outdoor and indoor intrusion sensors with advanced features like active anti-masking, low-absorption designs for wireless systems, pet immunity and improved environmental resilience. These developments reflect our commitment to quality, innovation, and meeting diverse installation needs.

Available from February 2026, our latest product is B-VELVET which combines cutting-edge technology and reliability, setting a new standard in intrusion detection. It leverages the experience and know-how we have developed with VELVET, our outdoor double tech curtain detector.

B-VELVET is a bidirectional curtain detector, designed to detect the presence of intruders on both the left and right sides of the installation location. Featuring two infrared sensors per side and the B-Balance Sync™ algorithm, it triggers alarms only when movement is detected in perfect sync, ensuring precision and reliability. With dynamic temperature compensation and carefully selected components, B-VELVET delivers smarter and accurate protection making it ideal for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.

What are the ranges of products/services?

A.B: Extensive research and development in both products and production processes has enabled the creation of multiple lines of detectors. Our product range is divided into:

  • Perimeter Detectors: VELVET, MYNI, CENTRUM, B-VELVET.
  • Indoor Volumetric Detectors: ZEFIRO, SYRIO, POLARIS.
  • Outdoor multi-beam, for installations in critical environments that require high-level detection and protection performance: MASTER, VELVET FACTORY, B-VELVET.
  • Low power consumption for integration with radio-based systems: LAB LINE (CENTRUM, VELVET, MASTER, B-VELVET).

The listed products feature a wide range of advanced and innovative technologies, including sophisticated anti-masking systems to prevent tampering, “look-down” detection zones for enhanced coverage, weather-resistant housings designed for harsh outdoor conditions, and flexible installation options. Additional features such as pet-immunity or anti-bug technologies and automatic temperature compensation ensure high detection reliability while minimizing false alarms.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

A.B: EEA operates in the intrusion detection market which is experiencing steady growth, supported by rising security concerns in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors and continuous technological advancements. This positive market outlook creates opportunities for companies like EEA, whose high-performance, reliable, and flexible sensor solutions are well positioned to meet current needs and support future further international expansion.

What can you tell us about market trends?

A.B: We have observed a growing interest in video verification solutions, in response to this trend, EEA is actively working on infrared or dual-technology intrusion sensors paired with cameras to enable real-time confirmation of intrusions. These kinds of solutions integrate seamlessly sensors with verification systems, while maintaining high reliability and advanced features such as anti-masking, pet immunity, and temperature compensation.

Another important market trend is compatibility with serial connection, both wired (BUS) and radio for bidirectional systems; The ladder feature is specifically designed for complete system manufacturers

What are the most innovative products marketed?

A.B: We place innovation at the core of our product development philosophy. EEA’s corporate growth is linked to constant monitoring of the market, so that the production department can implement increasingly up-to-date techniques for the realization of detectors.

The new B-VELVET represents an evolution of the traditional “curtain” detection technology, offering bidirectional coverage and advanced features (such as pet immunity, high-resolution temperature compensation, and anti-masking), providing a new way to protect access points and perimeters with a single device.

What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2026?

A.B: Our goal is to expand and enhance our standing in the market, specifically in the international area. Moving forward, we will continue to develop our international mission, strengthening our presence abroad through strategic partnerships, targeted expansion, and increased support for our global clients. Adapting and customizing our products to meet the requirements of international markets is a key element of our future strategy, our new addition, the B-VELVET detector, perfectly aligns with this vision.

For this reason, EEA is strongly committed to the international scene, actively participating in leading industry trade shows and events. This year, the company will take part in The Security Event in Birmingham and Expoprotection in Paris.
