What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Norbert Oettl: The company mainly operates in the following areas:

  • Design and production of handbags and accessories with original design.
  • Direct sales through its online store and its own shop in Bolzano, Italy.
  • Personalized co-design and product customization services, allowing customers to choose wood types, colors, leather and finishes.

What’s the news about new products/services?

N.O: During 2025, EMBAWO expanded its portfolio with new handbag models and enhanced customization options. At the same time, the brand strengthened its co-design service, also conceived for collaborations with institutional partners and projects focused on circular and sustainable design.

What are the ranges of products/services?

N.O: The product range includes women’s and unisex handbags, shoulder bags, clutches, business bags and accessories, all characterized by the distinctive combination of wood and leather and the possibility of personalization.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

N.O: EMBAWO operates mainly in the slow fashion and sustainable luxury segment, addressing conscious international customers who value quality, artisanal production and responsible material sourcing. The eco-design fashion niche is steadily growing, driven by increasing demand for unique, handcrafted products connected to values of sustainability and authenticity.

What can you tell us about market trends?

N.O: The sustainable fashion market continues to expand as consumers increasingly demand transparency, natural and sustainable materials and personalized products. In this context, elements such as the use of wood – still rare in fashion – combined with distinctive Italian design position EMBAWO in a premium and growing market segment.

N.O: Among EMBAWO’s most innovative offerings are its wood-and-leather handbags, which reinterpret fashion accessories through an unconventional and sustainable material combination. Equally innovative is the co-design service, which actively involves customers and partners in the creative process, transforming each product into a unique, tailor-made piece.

What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2026?

N.O: For the beginning of 2026, EMBAWO aims to further consolidate its international positioning in the sustainable fashion market, strengthen its retail and digital presence and continue developing co-design and customization services in response to the growing demand for exclusive slow-fashion products.
