Can you describe your company’s approach to driving innovation in product development?
In SIGMA we have a clear and active R&D strategic plan in order to be ready and aligned with an exigent market as ours.
Increase performance of our flotation systmes, decrease energy consumption and adapt latest technologies are our main concerns and targets,
What recent products or solutions have you introduced, and how are they shaping the industry?
For our DAF range we are working after long in CFD studies. They are the first CFD combining water and air dinamic study.
Our aim is to see what’s going on inside our DAF when we are injecting the microbubbles, that is helping us to improve the injection of microbbubles and of course the performance, this means a reduction of the size of the recirculation pump and consequently the energy consumption of our systems.
What technologies or trends are influencing your latest innovations, and how do they benefit your customers?
For our DAF units we have been focused in CFD studies, they have been crucial to understand and proceed accordingly in the several DAF models, with and without lamellas.

How do you ensure your innovations meet both current market needs and long-term industry evolution?
Based on the information get from the CFD studies we have done few modifications and adaptations, and the results are visible from min 0.
What challenges did you face while developing your latest products, and how did you overcome them?
It is first time that CFD studies combines water and air, so far, all studies done were done only for water or only for air but never its combination.
How do your latest products differentiate you from competitors in the market?
We work hard to improve and develop our own systems, while others are concerned about the size of the microbubbles, we work on the internal behaviour of the whole microbubble generation and distribution.
Can you share any feedback or success stories from customers who have adopted your new innovations?
Of course, this continuous R+D is implemented in all the units produced so all our customers take advantage of it.

How is sustainability integrated into your product development strategy?
Our production process is fully optimized to eliminate waste as it means as well a cost optimization, ensuring the efficient use of resources at every stage.
Furthermore, we have recently achieved certification for our carbon footprint, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and the continuous improvement of our environmental impact.
What emerging trends or technologies do you think will drive the next wave of innovation in your industry?
In SIGMA, we believe that the next wave of innovation in the water treatment equipment industry will be driven by the adoption of smart technologies, such as IoT-enabled real-time monitoring, AI-based process optimization, and automated maintenance systems. Additionally, the development of more energy-efficient solutions and the use of sustainable, corrosion-resistant materials will be critical, as the industry increasingly focuses on reducing environmental impact and meeting stricter water quality and sustainability standards.
