Interview with Albert Groothedde, CEO of InnoVites
A brief description of the company and its activities.
Albert Groothedde: InnoVites is a software company, but more than that, we’re a digital transformation partner for the wire and cable industry. This industry isn’t like others, and off-the-shelf software just doesn’t cut it. That’s why everything we do is laser-focused on the unique challenges cable manufacturers face, complex product configurations, long lead times, dynamic pricing, and an increasing demand for customization.
We’ve built a suite of integrated solutions that support the full lifecycle of a cable manufacturing; from design, costing, and quoting all the way through production and delivery. Our mission is to help wire and cable companies embrace smart manufacturing and make the shift from reactive operations to predictive, data-driven ones. And we’ve been fortunate to earn the trust of some of the biggest and most innovative cable makers across the globe.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
A.G: We work at the intersection of technology and industry expertise.
Our core areas include:
- Enterprise Resource Planning (cableERP) specifically adapted for cable manufacturing, no awkward workarounds, just native cable logic.
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (cableCORE MES) that enable real-time production monitoring and decision-making.
- Design & Data Management (cableCORE DDM) which connects design engineers, sales, and production teams to accelerate quoting and ensure consistency.
- Customer Relationship Management (cableCRM) purpose-built to handle the nuances of cable sales—from complex quotes to customer-specific pricing and delivery forecasts.
What makes us different is that these aren’t just features bolted onto a general ERP. They’re deeply rooted in how this industry actually works, something we’ve refined over years of working shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers.
What’s the news about new products/services?
A.G: We’re making bold moves this year—especially when it comes to AI. In fact, we’ll be the first in the wire and cable industry to embed AI directly into ERP and Design & Data Management (DDM) systems. This isn’t just a feature upgrade; it’s a fundamental shift in how cable manufacturers will interact with their data and run their operations.
With AI, we’re enabling smarter quoting, automated design recommendations, predictive cost estimation, and real-time insights right inside the tools teams already use. That’s going to change how fast teams respond to customer demands and how confidently they make decisions.
Because we’re first movers here, we’re already making some noise across the industry. We’ll soon be launching an exclusive waitlist for cable manufacturers who want early access to these AI features. That includes customized demos, behind-the-scenes previews, and the opportunity to shape the roadmap with us.
The response so far has been fantastic. It’s clear that companies aren’t just curious about AI; they’re ready to put it to work. And we’re proud to lead the charge.

What are the ranges of products/services?
A.G: vvOur portfolio is built around the real-world processes of cable manufacturers:
cableERP
- Modern ERP, purpose-built for wire & cable
- Designed for cables from the ground up: CableERP understands cable-specific complexities like variable lengths, drum handling, and structured BOMs. Thus saving you from costly custom developments
- Accurate pricing, faster quotes: Protect your margins with the integrated metal pricing module.
- Streamlined operations: From sales to delivery, every team works off the accurate real-time data, boosting productivity across the board.
- Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365: Enriched with familiar interface, reliable performance, and enterprise-grade scalability.
- Go live faster with industry best practices: Accelerate your implementation by leveraging InnoVites long-standing industry experience
cableCORE MES
- Bring your manufacturing operations to the next level
- Full visibility, real-time control: Track every order, operation, and material movement as it happens.
- Minimize scrap, maximize throughput: Built-in intelligence helps reduce production waste and improve line efficiency.
- Seamless shop-floor integration: Connect machines, operators, and planning in one smooth workflow.
- Tailored for cable production: Handles length-based production, parallel processing, and rework scenarios out of the box.
- Data that drives decisions: Empower your supervisors and planners with real-time KPIs and dashboards.
cableCORE DDM
- From customer specs to shop floor readiness; digitally
- Faster Inquiry to Quote cycle: Receive customer requirements, automatically find matching designs and if needed, quickly generate new design cost information and technical datasheets,
- AI assisted analysis of customer requirements: Save hours on reading customer requirements. Automatically identify missing information. Find matching designs.
- Accurate costing: Quickly build your cable cost information based on your material costs and manufacturing costs
- Seamless collaboration: Keep sales, engineering, and other stakeholders in sync with a centralized product lifecycle.
- Drives digital continuity: What’s approved in design flows straight into ERP and MES; no manual re-entry.
cableCRM
- Sales built around how cable businesses actually work
- Quote cables right from inside your CRM including all relevant information: Full length breakdown, drum selection, customer tolerances, metal pricing, etc
- Integrated with ERP: Automatically convert your CRM quote into a sales order in your ERP. Thus reducing effort and possible errors in your admin processes.
- Minimize mistakes in the order process: No need to re-enter order lines into your ERP after receiving the customer order.
- Natively integrated with Microsoft Dynamics: One login, one ecosystem, no silos.
Together, these systems create a connected digital thread, from the customer order all the way through to the final coil. It’s a modular setup, so companies can start where it makes the most sense and expand at their own pace.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
A.G: The wire and cable industry is facing a pivotal moment. On one hand, there’s strong global demand, especially in sectors like power infrastructure, data connectivity, renewables, and EVs. On the other hand, companies are grappling with labor shortages, margin pressure, and the need to deliver faster, more customized products.
What we’re seeing across North America, Europe, and parts of the Middle East is a growing urgency to modernize core systems. It’s not just about digitization, it’s about transformation. Companies that once ran operations on spreadsheets or generic ERPs are now actively seeking solutions that understand their world. That shift is fuelling a lot of conversations around how to build smarter factories and future-proof their operations.
What can you tell us about market trends?
A.G: Three trends stand out to me:
- Demand for customization: Gone are the days of mass-producing standard cables. Customers want specific lengths, packaging, markings, you name it. That makes traceability and production agility mission-critical.
- Data-driven decisions: Companies want real-time visibility across the plant—not just to monitor but to predict. That’s why MES and advanced analytics are gaining momentum.
- Sustainability and compliance: More customers are asking for carbon footprint reporting, lifecycle tracking, and regulatory compliance documentation, right from the quoting stage. That’s pushing digital systems to adapt.

What’s exciting is that we’re not reacting to these trends; we’ve been building for them. Our products are designed to enable exactly this kind of forward-thinking operation.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
A.G: If I had to pick one, CableCORE DDM stands out. It’s the only platform we know of that lets a sales engineer take a customer request, instantly check if that design already exists, and generate a quote in minutes. That kind of responsiveness can mean the difference between winning or losing a deal.
But when you combine CableCORE DDM with CableERP, CableCORE MES, and now CableCRM, you’re not just innovating at the product level, you’re building a digital ecosystem where data flows freely, decisions are faster, and the entire business becomes more agile. That’s what innovation looks like in a cable factory.
What estimations do you have for the second half of 2025?
A.G: We’re heading into Q3 with a healthy dose of optimism. Our customer pipeline is strong, especially in the Middle East, North America, and South Asia, where several infrastructure and power grid projects are underway. Many of the manufacturers in those regions are realizing that to meet demand, they can’t just scale operations, they need to scale smart.
We’re also seeing increasing demand from small and mid-sized manufacturers who are ready to make their first big leap into digital transformation. And because our solutions are modular and scalable, we’re well-positioned to support that growth.
Internally, we’re expanding our consulting and implementation teams, and continuing to strengthen our R&D around AI and integration capabilities.
