Interview with William DANIZET, Director of DECOCLIM.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

William DANIZET: The main activity of DECOCLIM® is the sale a solution combining aesthetics and technology aimed at dressing, protecting, and decorating air conditioning units to individuals and professionals. DECOCLIM® has undertaken a strong educational approach with installers to introduce them to the usefulness of the product.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

W.D: The 2023 range of DECOCLIM® products has been improved. Indeed, the mounting system has been redesigned to make it easier and more affordable, they are easier to assemble (assembly will not require any special tools or equipment), the thickness of the aluminum has been increased and the top face reinforced. Today there are also several color ranges, regardless of size and model.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

W.D: DECOCLIM® is a range of aluminum chests divided into 5 different sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and offered in 10 possible colors. There is also a range in eucalyptus wood available in 3 sizes (S, M, L). DECOCLIM® has also developed a panel of accessories designed to adapt the air conditioning cover to all installations (bottom face for air conditioning and heat pumps located high up; rear faces for centered installations and away from a wall…)

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

W.D: DECOCLIM® were the first to create covers for air conditioners and heat pumps in France, it was necessary to democratize the product and its use.

Over the years, DECOCLIM® has been able to structure itself and create a market. Today professionals know the product and its advantages and offer it more and more systematically to their customers.

We noticed that the market of heat pump is again in strong growth!

According to the AFPAC study, by 2050, almost all individual dwellings will be equipped with a heat pump. With grants from the state, individuals are increasingly oriented towards the heat pump installations. DECOCLIM® is part of a booming market, the product is becoming more democratic. 2023 will be an opportunity for us to meet the expectations of consumers.

DECOCLIM® has been a leader for more than 10 years in the market for air conditioning and heat pump covers, due to its ability to adapt to economic contexts and inflation of raw materials, but also due to the responsiveness of its teams. However, since 2021, supply and production conditions have been extremely complex and we have had to deal with multiple price increases – raw materials, energy, etc. An economic context that led to rethink its product strategy, for the benefit of individuals and professionals in the sector without increasing product prices.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

W.D: In strong growth, DECOCLIM® becomes an essential for air conditioning or heat pump equipment. A 40% increase in turnover per year confirms the evolution of demand from customers and the standardization of the use of the product during the installation of air conditioning or a heat pump.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

W.D: The DECOCLIM® solution is in itself innovative, designed to respect the air flow of each configuration and to break the dispersion of noise pollution, is also modular and adaptable to all installations (by superimposing them for example). In terms of materials and design, DECOCLIM® combines all the qualities necessary for an air conditioning cover that lasts for a long time. 100% aluminum, stainless steel screws, invisible assembly, perfect circulation of incoming and outgoing air, and perfect water drainage thanks to the shape of its shutters, resistance to temperature variations and the salty air of the seaside, anti -UV, anti-rust…

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?

W.D: DECOCLIM® plans to reach and establish itself on the European and International market and to increase demand for the brand in the distribution networks.

The other objective is to increase demand for the brand in the distribution networks in France. Today the brand is distributed in more than 3,000 agencies in France, a constantly growing number.

Finally, DECOCLIM® wants to reduce its carbon footprint, we implemented new production techniques to reduce CO2 emissions by 40%. The brand is now seeking an additional reduction of 10% by the end of 2023. By 2024, the objective is to use up to 30% of the electrical energy needed for production, from solar energy. A commitment that is part of a global environmental approach since DECOCLIM® aluminum products are 100% recyclable.
