IPR ROBOTICS – MAKING ROBOTS BETTER, FASTER AND MORE FLEXIBLE

IPR Robotics specializes in reliable and customizable standard EOAT components, and durable 7th axis robot rails. The company specializes in higher payload and harsh environments, with the ability to customize solutions to meet client’s specific needs. In summary, IPR delivers the HANDS and FEET of robots.

Interview with Anthony Leo, President of IPR Robotics, LLC.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Anthony Leo:  Our standard component product range features grippers, compliance wrists, alignment devices, tool changers, load limiters and force/torque sensors that are compatible with all industrial robot brands. We also offer 7th axis Robot Transfer Units (RTUs), cavity waxing solutions, and automate hole closeure systems.

What’s the news about new products/services?

A.L: No more time-consuming masking! With the new Drop-on-Demand application process, individual drops are ejected from the nozzle only when they are needed, similar to how an inkjet printer operates. These are combined into lines by intelligent overlaying.  This allows 100% of the material to go on the part it’s intended to go on, and eliminates the need for ventilation as well.  The coating is applied with sharp edges.

Application examples:

  • Functional coating on battery modules
  • Corrosion coating on battery cell

What are the ranges of products/services?

A.L: We have products for any company or industry that uses automation, such as Automotive, Medical, Agricultural, and more!

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

A.L: More and more companies are starting to invest in automation and IPR has the perfect tools and equipment to make your business more effective.

What can you tell us about market trends?

A.L: Shifts in Manufacturers’ Mindset: From Buying Products to Buying Outcomes

Manufacturers today are under pressure: faster cycles, fewer errors, minimal downtime. With tighter deadlines and rising complexity, companies require solutions that produce results from the start.

That’s where IPR stands out.

We provide a wide selection of high-performance components, but we also collaborate with partners to build application-specific systems that address real-world challenges. For example, our PSH-Compact, paired with Tesa’s ProSeal, allows for quick and consistent hole closing in automotive manufacturing lines.

PSH-Compact

  • Versatile Grippers that adapt to your handling needs
  • Robust Tool Changers that cut down on cycle time
  • Precision 7th-Axis Rail Systems that increase robot mobility

Whether you need off-the-shelf tools, custom components, or application-specific systems, IPR delivers performance, durability, and long-term value.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

A.L: Our 3 in 1 Tool changer series (TKX), where you can use one tool side for 3 different robot sides (pneumatic, manual, and electric).

Our Pad Setting system (Hole Closure), for a plug alternative for automotive car bodies.

Drop on Demand

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2025?

A.L: As expected, tariffs have caused some companies to pause on automation projects as they make decisions on where to produce their products.  Since there are now more financial incentives to make products domestically in the U.S., I do believe over the second half of this year and going into 2026 we will see more automation projects moving forward in the U.S., especially with many automotive OEMs making decisions to produce more car models domestically.Furthermore, as more trade deals are being finalized with smaller/medium sized trade partners, I believe this will help expedite trade deals with larger countries, or regions such as the EU.  As these deals are made, this should help companies finalize decisions on production, and lead to automation opportunities.  The past 2 years has been fairly flat as far as overall growth in our industry, but there are signs of movement that show the end of Q3 leading into Q4 could be ripe with opportunities.
