Interview with Patrick Stormmesand, Sales Manager at Kavo Parts.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Patrick Stormmesand: We supply OEM-quality aftermarket parts for the global automotive aftermarket, specializing in distribution towards importers and wholesalers. Our activities span product sourcing, Catalogue creation, stock management, and international logistics. We serve over 100 countries from our central warehouse in the Netherlands.

What’s the news about new products/services?

P.S: This year, we’ve launched a complete range of filters for all car brands – a major step beyond our original focus on Asian vehicles. Our EV product line is also growing rapidly, covering models such as Tesla, Kia Niro, and Hyundai Ioniq.

What are the ranges of products/services?

P.S: Our portfolio includes:

  • Filters (AMC): oil, air, cabin, and fuel filters.
  • Steering and suspension: control arms, stabilizer links, ball joints, etc.
  • Shock absorbers: including air suspension and strut mounts.
  • Electric vehicle parts: for popular models like Tesla and Kia EV6.
  • Brake parts, timing systems, wipers, clutch kits – and more.

We offer full coverage for all major car brands in filters, steering and suspension, shock absorbers, and EV parts – and we still carry one of the most complete ranges for all Asian car brands in the aftermarket.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

P.S: We operate in a stable yet competitive aftermarket environment, shaped by vehicle aging, economic pressure, and increasing demand for reliable yet affordable alternatives. We see growing opportunities in regions where maintaining older vehicles is key.

What can you tell us about market trends?

P.S: Aging car fleets are driving demand for high-quality yet cost-effective parts.

Electrification continues to grow, increasing the need for EV-specific components.

Distributor expectations are rising: they want fewer suppliers, more support, and quicker deliveries (keeping their own stock level low).

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

P.S: Our logistics operation is a key innovation driver – with automated Kardex systems and 7-day warehouse operations, we ensure fast and accurate order fulfillment.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2025?

P.S: We expect continued growth across all key product lines, especially in filters & suspension parts. To support this, we’re preparing to expand our brake parts offering – this will become the next product category we will offer for all car brands, alongside filters, steering & suspension & shock absorbers.
