The efficient handling and precise transport of components is crucial to smoothly automate production processes. With its innovative conveyor technology, Montech offers custom-tailored solutions that also meet complex requirements such as those of Pneutronic AG.
Pneutronic AG has been a leading provider of solutions in process automation for more than 30 years. Its portfolio ranges from the integration of automation and robotics systems to software engineering and control technology on through specialized controls for fine-cutting presses. In one project, this Swiss company faced the challenge of efficiently transporting various components of different sizes and weights on the same belt conveyor. The components are heavily soiled, rusty, and stacked, which makes handling more difficult. Furthermore, they exceed the total weight that can be supported by a single belt conveyor. Also, the components must not tip over, and at the end of the conveying process, they must be aligned and centered precisely to ensure perfect removal by a robot.
Efficient transport despite demanding conditions
To meet this challenge, Montech developed a customized conveyor technology solution. Using the configurator, standardized belt conveyors and floor stands could be adapted quickly and precisely to the specific requirements of the project. Montech has optimized the transitions between the belt conveyor sections so that the components can be transported safely even when stacked so that they do not tip. For the most difficult part of the project – the final section of the conveyor line – Montech developed a custom solution based on a standard belt conveyor that precisely aligns the components and ensures perfect removal by a robot.

A solution with many advantages
Montech’s custom-tailored solution gives Pneutronic numerous advantages. The use of standardized belt conveyors provides a cost-effective yet flexible solution. With the online configurator, Pneutronic was able to select the conveyor belts quickly, which accelerated implementation. In addition, Pneutronic benefited from the short delivery times. Last but not least, the close cooperation between Montech and Pneutronic, supported by the use of 3D models, helped to implement the complex requirements efficiently and promptly.
