ROJEK is a privately-owned Czech manufacturer with over 100 years of experience in the production of woodworking machines and hot water solid fuel boilers. Established in 1921, the company has evolved from a small local workshop into a recognized industrial brand serving professional users across Europe. What sets ROJEK apart is the long-standing focus on mechanical precision, product durability, and personal customer support.
ROJEK is proud to keep the entire production process—from design and prototyping to final assembly and service—under one roof in their facility in Kostelec nad Orlicí. The company’s brand is built on the values of reliability, technical craftsmanship, and continuous innovation.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
We operate in two key sectors. First, we design and manufacture a wide range of professional woodworking machines used by small workshops, furniture makers, and industrial operations. Our product portfolio includes panel saws, planers, spindle moulders, sanding machines, and combination machines under the ROJEK and KDR brands. Second, we produce modern biomass and wood burning boilers for heating residential and small commercial buildings. This dual focus enables us to apply shared engineering knowledge across both mechanical and thermal systems, while maintaining independence in our development and production capacities.
What’s the news about new products/services?
For 2025, we are excited to launch several new features on our flagship product—the PF 400 NC panel saw. These upgrades are the result of direct feedback from users and our commitment to making our machines smarter and more ergonomic. The new features include a ProLock blade locking system that allows for faster and safer blade changes, LED indicators for the scoring unit which improve visibility and setup precision, and a redesigned angle scale for easier angle setting. We have also implemented fine adjustment mechanisms for flip-over stops, enabling more accurate and repeatable cuts. These improvements are not only technical—they reflect our ongoing mission to make our machines more efficient, user-friendly, and suitable for both small shops and larger production environments.

What are the ranges of products/services?
We offer a complete line of woodworking machines, tailored to the needs of professional users. Our product range includes sliding table panel saws (both manual and NC-controlled), thickness planers, surface planers, spindle moulders, sanding machines, and combined units that integrate multiple functions in one footprint. Each product is designed for high performance and long service life. In addition, our heating division offers hot water boilers for solid fuels including wood logs, pellets, and combined fuel systems. These are available in both manually-fed and automated versions with electronic control units. We provide spare parts, warranty service, and technical support directly from our facility, ensuring that our customers can rely on us long-term.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
We are currently active across Central and Eastern Europe, with strong presence in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and growing markets in Austria, Germany, and the Balkans & Scandinavia. The woodworking machinery market has remained stable with moderate growth, particularly as users shift from low-cost imports to more durable, serviceable European-made machines. Customers are increasingly focused on quality, functionality, and after-sales support. In the heating sector, we observe strong demand for biomass boilers, driven by rising energy prices, government regulations, and interest in renewable energy. Many households and small businesses are investing in modern heating systems to reduce dependency on gas and electricity. Solid fuel, especially wood and pellets, continues to play a significant role in regional energy independence.

What can you tell us about market trends?
There are two dominant trends shaping both sectors in which we operate. In woodworking, there is a clear movement toward automation and digital integration. Even small workshops now expect features like NC controls, digital angle displays, memory settings, and faster setup procedures. This trend is redefining the expectations for compact machines and entry-level industrial equipment. We are adapting by gradually introducing smarter features into traditionally mechanical machines. In heating, the trend is toward sustainability and lower emissions. End users and installers want boilers that meet EU ecodesign standards, offer low maintenance, and maximize efficiency. We respond with products that are certified, optimized for combustion, and easy to control. We also see a growing appreciation for local production and in-house service, which strengthens our position as a Czech manufacturer with full production control.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
Our most innovative product at the moment is the PF 400 NC panel saw with its new 2025 feature set. This machine combines mechanical robustness with electronic enhancements that simplify daily work. The ProLock system, LED indicators, compact rip fence, and fine-tuning elements together create a solution that saves time, increases accuracy, and enhances safety. These are features typically found in larger, more expensive machines—but we bring them to a wider audience by integrating them into a compact, versatile model. Another key innovation is the modularity of our machines. Customers can configure the PF 400 NC and other models with optional accessories, digital displays, or customized controls based on their specific production needs. This flexibility allows us to offer tailored solutions without losing efficiency in manufacturing.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2025?
We are optimistic about the remainder of 2025. In the woodworking division, we project a 5–10% increase in sales, driven by growing demand for efficient, durable, and user-oriented machines. We are planning to expand our presence in Austria, Slovakia, and selected Eastern European countries through partnerships and targeted distribution. We are also preparing for participation in several key trade fairs, including LIGNA and WoodTec, to strengthen our brand visibility and connect directly with customers. On the heating side, we expect increased interest in our automated biomass boilers, especially in regions transitioning to renewable energy sources. Internally, we are investing in R&D to further develop NC control systems and smarter heating solutions that align with future energy standards. With a century of experience behind us and a strong technical team in place, we are confident in our ability to continue growing sustainably and delivering value to our customers across Europe. We look forward to welcoming new customers to our machines, 100% manufactured in Europe for over 100 years.
