SCALDOPACK – NEXT-GENERATION SPOUTED-POUCH SYSTEMS BUILT FOR PRECISION, SPEED AND EFFICIENCY

Scaldopack was first established in 2009 and has been constantly evolving ever since into the company it is today. At the production site in Belgium, the company has an in-house engineering department constantly working and designing on the next generation machinery and a reliable technical team assembling the packaging machinery.

All machines are custom built to meet with individual needs and demands of each customer. Machines from Scaldopack are easy to use, attain fast production speeds, have high energy efficiency, reduce the ecological footprint and are ready for industry 4.0. At Scaldopack 2 kinds of packaging machinery for spouted pouches are being manufactured.

One type of machinery, is the market for pouch filling and capping machinery through the spout, the other market contains the machinery for spout inserting to the pouch. Scaldopack offers packaging machinery to customers, ranging from small to large production capacity in both areas of expertise.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Scaldopack operates in the packaging machinery industry. The company designs and builds high-performance pouch-filling and capping machines and spout inserting machines as the SI 60 and S 120. These machines are used in both food and non-food sectors — for example sauces, detergents, cosmetics, and beverages.

Their main activities include:

  • Engineering and machine building: designing and producing custom filling and sealing machines with short change-over times and high precision.
  • Automation and innovation: using servo and mechatronic technology to improve speed, accuracy, and flexibility.
  • Sustainability: developing solutions that reduce energy consumption.
  • After-sales and service: providing installation, training, maintenance, and technical support for international customers.

Overall, Scaldopack focuses on efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability in packaging technology, strong in customer satisfaction and aftersales service.

What’s the news about new products/services?

Scaldopack has recently launched its next-generation filling machine — the Monofiller Multihead 2 with induction sealing — which raises capacity for spouted-pouch filling up to ~75 pouches/minute, uses full servo control for precision, and is designed for both food and non-food applications including viscous or particle-laden products. They’ve also been pushing their Smartfiller line for smaller runs or pilot plants, and expanding internationally.

What are the ranges of products/services?

Scaldopack’s product range covers everything from compact fillers for small production runs (like the Smartfiller Ecoline) to fully automatic high-capacity lines (such as the Monofiller Multihead 4) and spout-inserting machines (SI-60 / SI-120). On the service/solution side they emphasise tailor-made systems, hygienic design, quick change-overs and sustainable packaging solutions.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

The market for spout-pouch filling and sealing machines is in a positive growth phase: globally it was nearly USD 3 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow steadily in the coming decade. Key drivers are the rise of flexible, resealable packaging, sustainability requirements, and demands for higher automation and hygiene. At the same time there are challenges: high investment cost, need for compatibility with new film/spout materials, and skilled labour.

For Scaldopack, this means we’re well placed — the focus on flexible formats, short change-over, hygiene and sustainability align with the market trends. To succeed we must keep innovating, support customers’ ROI, and perhaps expand further in faster-growing regions.

What can you tell us about market trends?

Because of these trends, Scaldopack’s focus on spout-pouch filling, high flexibility, short change-over, hygiene, and sustainability aligns well with market drivers.

Given the growing demand for flexible spout-pouches, the push for sustainable materials, and the need for efficient automated machines, Scaldopack is well-positioned. The key will be staying ahead in materials compatibility (mono-films, recyclable), automation/servos, and being able to serve both high-volume and flexible/short-run customers.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

Scaldopack demonstrates strong innovation in several areas, such as their servo-controlled multihead filling machines, fully automatic spout insertion and environmentally friendly materials.

Moreover, they minimize downtime with fast changeovers and increase efficiency and sustainability – making their offering exceptionally competitive in the market.

What estimations do you have for the end of 2025?

I would venture the following estimates for the end of 2025:

Revenue: I estimate that Scaldopack could move towards the higher end of its current revenue guidance by the end of 2025, provided growth remains favorable and additional orders are received.

I expect Scaldopack to further strengthen its market presence, particulary in high-value segments (viscous products, specialized pouches), which could lead to further order growth in 2025.
