Zoomfab Technologies transforms how small and mid-sized sheet metal fabricators operate. With their AI-powered SaaS tools, ZOOMFAB Express Estimator and ZOOMFAB MSS, the company simplifies engineering and pricing, while their IIoT platform delivers real-time insights for smarter, more efficient productivity managed manufacturing.
Interview with Peter Radzim, Managing Director of Zoomfab Technologies SARL.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Peter Radzim: ZOOMFAB TECHNOLOGIES focuses on developing SaaS-based productivity and management tools for the sheet metal fabrication industry. Our key products are ZOOMFAB Express Estimator for AI-assisted cost estimating and ZOOMFAB MSS for real-time productivity monitoring and performance management, which includes IIoT hardware as part of the subscription.
What’s the news about new products/services?
P.R: Express Estimator continues to evolve with several major enhancements:
- New industry-proven calculators for manual and robotic welding, batch and line powder coating, and significant upgrades to Disk, Fiber, and CO₂ laser cutting accuracy.
- Introduction of an easy-to-use API for fast, two-way data exchange between EE and ERP or other API-enabled systems.
- Implementation of AI-based document analysis for automatic product structure creation when no 3D model is available.
ZOOMFAB MSS now integrates seamlessly with Epicor ERP MES, providing real-time OEE data, machine status visualization, and shop floor job data distribution and collection.
Additionally, MSS now delivers more comprehensive insights into machines and their peripherals – such as sorting devices, material storage systems, and robots – highlighting how efficiently they interact and identifying potential performance bottlenecks.
What are the ranges of products/services?
P.R: Zoomfab Technologies offers a range of SaaS products designed for sheet metal fabricators of all sizes. Our solutions fill a critical gap not covered by typical ERP or ERP-MES systems – providing fast, accurate, and professional product engineering and price estimating, as well as a comprehensive productivity management system. Such end-to-end solutions are rare and almost non-existent in this industry.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
P.R: Since COVID, many sheet metal fabricators have expanded capacity with government support and new machinery. However, demand in Europe has weakened — particularly due to the slowdown in Germany – leading to excess capacity and fierce competition. The influx of low-cost Chinese equipment has further intensified price pressure, making efficiency and digital transformation critical for survival.
What can you tell us about market trends?
P.R: With rising competitiveness, sheet metal fabricators face two key challenges: winning enough of the right orders and delivering them profitably. The solution lies in adopting the right digital tools. Products like Express Estimator and ZOOMFAB MSS are specifically designed to address these challenges — enabling faster, more accurate quoting and smarter, data-driven production management.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
P.R: When it comes to product engineering and price estimating, modern software must deliver both speed and accuracy – and Express Estimator provides exactly that and more. It is unique in its high level of automation and use of AI to create product structures and manufacturing workflows. The system supports over 100 common industry operations through proven calculators and technology tables, and facilitates collaboration between engineering, purchasing, and sales teams.
In terms of productivity management, ZOOMFAB MSS stands out as an exceptionally rare solution in the sheet metal fabrication sector. While most job shops are focused on meeting delivery deadlines and lack time or tools to address productivity, ZOOMFAB MSS makes it simple. It is affordable, fast to deploy, accurate, and reliable, requiring no consulting or customization. Its advanced IIoT platform uses battery-powered, non-invasive sensors to monitor any machine – regardless of brand or age. All data is collected and processed automatically.
A particularly innovative feature is the weekly “Monday Report”, providing clear performance insights, along with What-If modeling that allows users to simulate and optimize factory scenarios.

What estimations do you have for the end of 2025?
P.R: The market is not booming, so winning the right orders and maintaining profitability will be more important than ever.
Investment in automation, and digital tools like ZOOMFAB productivity monitoring and differentiation will be major levers for fabricators to stay competitive.
Price pressure and competition from low-cost imports remain strong headwinds – so emphasizing value, efficiency, and technological advantage is critical.Equipment and software upgrades remain a path for growth, even in a slow demand env
