NOYEN is a company offering complete industrial parts cleaning solutions. Thanks to extended knowledge and over 20 years of experience, they change the way people think about cleaning. Noyen implements innovative solutions of the highest standards that make an answer to the needs of their clients and the market. The company’s guiding philosophy is All-In-One Solutions – according to this, NOYEN is a place where the clients may find a solution to every problem connected with industrial parts cleaning – machines, cleaning agents, and professional services.
Interview with Zbigniew Kurant, CEO NOYEN.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Zbigniew Kurant: In NOYEN we design and build cleaning machines that allow improving efficiency and reducing the exploitation costs thanks to the use of unique technologies. We work on innovations in the field of automation and integration of industrial lines and implement them. We also produce efficient, safe and ecological detergents for industrial parts cleaning.
We offer our clients professional support in managing the process of cleaning. Laboratory tests that are conducted by our experts help to implement and optimise cleaning processes and reach the required quality of technical cleanliness level. We provide cleaning and degreasing services, also in terms of the standards required by VDA 19.1 and ISO 16232. Our offer includes consulting services as well – we support clients from the first contact and identifying their needs in terms of cleaning, to the moment of implementation of our solutions. In case of machines, we can support clients also during the service and maintenance.
On a daily basis we cooperate with clients from automotive, medical, aerospace, and other industries. Among our clients and partners, there are world leaders in the industry. We find complete and innovative solutions to their needs connected with industrial cleaning. In our machines we use the most innovative functionalities like Industry 4.0 elements. We place importance on the implementation of autonomous and autodiagnostic processes, augmented reality and Big Data systems.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
Z.K: In 2021 we want to focus on the development of our machines in terms of autodiagnostics and automation – implementation of the autonomous processes is an important issue tailored for today’s industry and the situation connected with the pandemic. It is essential also in terms of production process optimisation.
What is more, we thoroughly observe the fast-changing automotive market and its increasing requirements. Soon we will implement new professional products and services intended for this industry, which suit the highest standards of technical cleanliness.
Among one of our newest products, there is also a compact NOYEN Smart Pico machine, intended for intermediate parts washing. Compact size, weight, and the fact that the device can be easily relocated, allow operators to work efficiently and comfortably. Additionally, we implement new Smart Power technology which solves the problem of electric power management in production facilities where maximal connected load is lower than the energy consumption.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
Z.K: The main pillars of our business are the production of industrial cleaning machines and safe cleaning agents for different types of contamination. We create solutions intended for the specific needs of our clients and implement innovative technologies for technical cleanliness, process optimisation, work ergonomics improvement, cost reduction, automation, and conducting production processes in accordance with Industry 4.0. NOYEN’s offer also includes universal machines intended for many applications. One of such solutions is the Compact series. Its characteristic feature is, as the name suggests, compactness and high efficiency.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
Z.K: Recently, the pandemic has influenced the industry. The market, especially in sectors such as automotive, became especially sensitive. A great number of companies had to start treating investments more cautiously. Many projects were postponed. The fourth quarter of 2020 was the time when companies started implementing investments again. Nevertheless, 2021 is another extraordinary year of the pandemic and we have to adapt to these new conditions.
An important trend in the industry is the ever-increasing cleanliness requirements, to which we are trying to comprehensively respond. Besides, we are dealing with more and more widely implemented Industry 4.0 technologies. System integration enables a fast and automatic flow of information, which translates into increased efficiency, flexibility, and competitiveness of companies. At NOYEN, we have used this type of solution in our machines for a long time.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
Z.K: What will become visible in the nearest future, is a change in approach to production and risk management. In recent years we could have observed that companies have been searching for partners even in distant countries. Pandemic had a great influence on supply chains, which translated to downtimes and delays in projects realisations all around the world. Nowadays, more and more companies decide to implement in-house manufacturing and a maximal number of technologies in their production plants. In NOYEN in-house manufacturing is the basis of our business. Thanks to such a solution we are able to keep full control over the production process, maximally reduce the time of project and delivery realisation, and guarantee the highest quality of the service.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
Z.K: Innovation is a feature that best describes our products. Innovative solutions are a part of every NOYEN project as we usually create them based on the client’s needs. One of the most innovative projects that we have ever implemented was the automation of the industrial parts cleaning process that we realised for the company from the fasteners industry.
Among the requirements, the client mentioned a high level of degreasing of elements and effective dephosphorisation, which were to increase the efficiency of heat treatment processes and meet high durability standards. It was necessary to provide the possibility of handling elements made of various materials. NOYEN specialists designed two cleaning lines that can carry out many processes simultaneously. The project uses the traceability system, which allowed for collecting feedback in the form of e.g. type of parts, size, density, number of cleaning programs that should be used. Thanks to this, the line automatically changes, adjusting the course of the process to maximise its quality and efficiency.
An important solution was the use of vision sensors controlling the correct loading of process baskets, which translates into maintaining maximum efficiency and minimising the loss of process quality due to human error. There were also innovations in the field of process flow monitoring – thanks to special software, the machine can be controlled via a tablet from anywhere in the world. Such a solution enables easy programming of process parameters.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
Z.K: We started the new year with optimism and hope that it will be the time of returning to normality, which will allow us to achieve our goals and investments. Last year, we managed to establish cooperation with a client from Shanghai from the automotive industry – we want to continue along this path and strengthen NOYEN’s position on the international market. We also plan to further develop the team and our plants. We intend to successively introduce new products to our offer and improve the flagship series of cleaning agents and machines that already exist. We want to continue work in the spirit of our values – constant improvement, creativity and innovation.
