Interview with Rosa Sáez, Export Manager at Martech Corporation.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Rosa Sáez: Our company has two different model of business.
On the one hand, manufacturing and distribution on automotive sector under the band Martech Car. Our long-standing experience in the sector has allowed us to develop a catalogue with more than 3000 products under the same brand, from the smallest tool, such as a screwdriver, to big equipment that customer needs in the body-shop.
On the other hand, turnkey projects. Our “know how” and huge product range allowed as to grow in this field. We started developing automotive turnkey projects. A few years ago, we did a step away to develop projects for different sectors, like Railway, Renewable, Wood Finishing, Metallurgy and Aeronautics in different countries. Our engineers design and plan the best technical and efficient solution for each client. We have been able to develop facilities meeting all kind of requirements, offering our clients a customized product according to their needs.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
R.S: We have been awarded several times since we present our newness Patented Product at Automechanika Frankfurt 2022.
We were awarded as The Best Collision Repair & Refinish Product at Sema Show 2022 (US). Also, we have won New Technologies and Innovation Company Award, sponsored by BBVA (Spanish Bank) at 2023 San Juan Awards, this is organized by Albacete Business Confederation (FEDA).
Among, other recognitions from specialized labs of the sector endorsing the quality of the product.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
R.S: Our strength lies in bodywork, painting process and mechanics. Our distributors can find the solution that each customer demands for the bodyshop thanks to our catalogue, where we have the largest portfolio on the market.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
R.S: Well, at this time we are the leading company in Spanish market and strategically positioned in South American for 20 years ago. Likewise, we are making outstanding business in USA, France, Portugal, Italy, Germany and eventually expanding our boundaries. We are aiming to stablish business relationships with top dealers in West Europe, we are on the right track.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
R.S: Nowadays, due to the importance of the climate change impact, the vehicle industry is getting focused on the electrical path and that’s why the need of equipment for repairing aluminum vehicles is increasing. This fact can be reflected in the bodyshop sector where express repairs are rising the same way. The idea is to reduce the time a vehicle remains in the bodyshop by increasing productivity and the flow of vehicles in the workshops.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
R.S: As it was mentioned before, we have patented the FAST PULLER.
Time is the most valuable thing today. We prioritize it because we do not have enough to do all the things, we would like to do day by day. Thus, we have developed a catalogue for express collision repair, trying to avoid wasting time in the body shop. Because, time is money…
With this on mind, we designed the FAST PULLER by Martech, our technology innovation. It is a chain traction system with a force of 250kg (max 2250kg with Electropuller optional) that is fixed to the ground by means of a vacuum system that fixes the tower. Its mobility and stability allow 360º repairs without the need for supports. Ideal for express repairs that want quick repairs on all types of panels: wings, doors, running boards, gates, etc… In this way we reduce repair times and transfer of courtesy vehicles.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
R.S: The slowdown in new vehicle sales and the increase in used car sales, due to the shortage of materials for the production of new vehicles, the high price of electric vehicles, inflation and the increase in the price of oil, leads us to estimate that this year 2023 will continue to be a good year for the bodywork sector. During 2023, the sector’s work has increased and we estimate that it will continue to do so until the end of year, when interest rates will start to fall, and the credit for new cars will be cheaper.
