Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

IMAR: Our extensive experience allows us to provide customized solutions in many sectors, such as food, cosmetics and chemicals. With special mention to what we call ECOBIO. This sector is particularly relevant nowadays due to the concern for the environment. This sector is characterized by its focus on biodegradable materials, biological control.

E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?

IMAR: For several years we have been immersed in developing our full potential in a functionality we call IMAR 4.0. It is a tool that takes advantage of the latest advances in the media and integrates them with our packaging lines. One of the main features of this advance is the remote assistance that among other things allows us to attend our customers instantly and thus diagnose and resolve numerous situations that may occur in our packaging lines.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

IMAR: Our packaging lines are prepared for various types of packaging, such as doypack, stick, rigid packaging… And all types of products, whether granulated, liquid, viscous or specific (stickers, gloves, wipes, tablets…).

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

IMAR: We are in a market that is booming, the pandemic has caused the monodose packages to gain much popularity, due to its close relationship with the health measures caused by the pandemic. It is therefore a growing market, and constantly evolving to meet the current demand for products.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

IMAR: In recent years we have seen two main trends. The first is related to the growing concern for the environment and the intensification of climate change, which is the search for sustainable packaging. Therefore, we are working with our suppliers and customers to find solutions that allow us to maintain the growing consumption of monodose but in a sustainable way. Which brings us to the second, since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen an upward trend in the consumption of monodose packaging, which is likely to continue over the next few years, as we said earlier.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

IMAR: All those related to biodegradable materials, regardless of their format and presentation.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?

IMAR: 2021 will be an atypical year, as was 2020, marked by the pandemic, which has meant that many trade fairs and customer visits have had to be postponed or carried out telematically. Even so, the end of the pandemic is already beginning to be felt, and things are gradually returning to normal. In the coming months, we will participate again in fairs such as Empack in Madrid or Djazagro in Algeria during the month of November or PackExpo in Chicago in 2022.
