Interview with Joel Munoz, CEO of Buit. Valencia.

A brief description of the company and its activities.

Joel Munoz: It is based on a Valencian national manufacture that values the artisan processes and care in all its phases. It is defined by a timeless design, capable of transcending momentary trends and maintaining its aesthetic, emotional and functional value over time.

We create the concept of sincerity of the material so that, together with art and design, our collections become timeless pieces in their purest state. For this reason, the finish of our collections has a natural appearance, with the aim of seeking the purity of the material, stripping away artifice and giving prominence to its composition, volume and shape.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

J.M: We work on creative ceramic wall and floor tiles.

What’s the news about new products/services?

J.M: Our collections have a set of pieces that allow the creation of different patterns to suit a specific space. Organic shapes that when combined together generate different patterns and volumes, exploring the creativity of the prescriber who will be able to create a singular mural design for the project.

We use computer-aided design tools to create precise patterns and shapes in the ceramics. In this way it becomes an artisanal-digital process where 3D technology allows us to fully customize the product and the design. Our ceramics are made during a semi-artisanal creation process, combining elements of artisanal manufacturing with industrial processes, and under a quality control consolidated over time. This approach seeks to take advantage of the attention to detail and quality inherent in craftsmanship, while allowing for a certain efficiency and scalability inherent in industrial production.

What are the ranges of products/services?

J.M: We have a range of artistic designs in 3 small formats combined with basic pieces to combine and thus be able to create infinite personalized combinations. Additionally, as a novelty we have just included two new PVD finishes in Gold and Silver for the highest luxury sector.

Also new is the new “all-body” technical porcelain flooring in a small format suitable for interior and exterior with a baked clay texture but with the technology of porcelain flooring.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

J.M: Our company is focused on the Contract, Retail and hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants), also on high-quality homes.

What can you tell us about market trends?

J.M: The truth is that it is little, we do not follow any particular trend, our creations are original based on our philosophy and that is how it will continue to be, we seek creation as the maximum exponent in our products.

As a curiosity, the range of fashionable colors for this year 2025 from a prestigious guide coincides this year with our chromatic range. We have been using these natural earth colors for 2 years…

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

J.M: All our collections have innovation, it is very difficult to produce sculptural pieces in ceramic coating, we need several long processes with an appropriate time.

The digitalization technology offered by our products is very high.

Joel Munoz, CEO of Buit. Valencia.

The Pvd finishes in Gold and Silver are very complex and are carried out through a procedure of settling particles that are in a gaseous state and when they settle on the piece they solidify. We use titanium in this process.

What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2025?

J.M: After two years of development, research and design, this is the year of market launch, we have already received orders from very prestigious design and architecture studios, in Spain and abroad, we believe that the possibilities of our product, quality and differentiation will attract a market sector eager to innovate in their businesses.
