Coltellerie Maserin was born in 1960, following the artisan tradition which over the centuries has led Maniago, ‘knives cities’, to excel in the world for the quality of its products.

Interview with Gianfranco Maserin, CEO of Coltellerie Maserin.

A brief description of the company and its activities. 

Gianfranco Maserin: Through constant growth over time, and our commercial prestige also acquired abroad, our company helps to preserve the prestige of the typical knives Maniago using the most modern techniques (laser, CNC machines).

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

G.M: We produce sport and kitchen knives.

What’s the news about new products/services?

G.M: We make different type of knives with our brand ‘Maserin’ or in addition we offer OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and other complete production services.

What are the ranges of products/services?

G.M: Our products are sport and kitchen knives, With the experience gained in over 60 years in business, constantly looking for increasingly advanced materials and the particular attention given to the care of the design, today MASERIN brand is synonymous with quality, guarantee and efficiency.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

G.M: Our market is in EU and USA.

What can you tell us about market trends?

G.M: Now in Italy and in EU the market is quiet, but in USA is good.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

G.M: Last year we introduced a new model of sport knives where the blade is made in tungsten instead of steel and we had a winner at the Blade Show in Atlanta USA for ‘Most Innovative imported Design’.

What estimations do you have for 2024?

G.M: Our estimations for the market in 2024 will be in line with the previous year.
