Spinaclean is one of the world’s leading expert in gutter vacuums and high-reach cleaning systems. Their powerful gutter cleaning systems are developed by our in-house innovators who have over 40 years of experience in the industry.
Interview with Fran Puddick, Marketing Director at Spinaclean.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Fran Puddick: We develop, sell and distribute safe and innovative cleaning systems; from powerful gutter cleaning vacuums to ATEX-certified cleaning systems and everything in between. We don’t just sell though, we design, prototype and test at our HQ, so we’re confident we can recommend them to our customers.
We’re particularly known for our development of new products, always working towards a faster, safer future for the cleaning industry. This commitment to innovation is driven by our founder and Chair, Andy Whiting, who started his own exterior cleaning business in the early 2000s and spotted a gap in the market for high-reach cleaning systems that are safe and effective but remove the need for costly scaffolding and cherry pickers.
What’s the news about new products/services?
F.P: We recently launched the skyVac ® Nitro, the most powerful gutter cleaning machine in the world. The 3600w Nitro is uniquely engineered to deliver a staggering mix of 13,900 lpm airflow and 112” water lift which combine to clean even the most stubborn blockages from gutters at heights up to 40ft.
Our Elite suction poles are lightweight at just 315g per 1.5m pole and are easy to maneuver at height and come complete with our exclusive vac release cuff (patent GB2567135) which allows the gutter cleaning professional to control suction.
What are the ranges of products/services?
F.P: Our skyVac gutter vacuum range is made up of six powerful gutter-clearing systems. From the compact, mobile and best-selling skyVac Mighty Atom to the independently powered Interceptor, our systems are used by cleaning professionals and contractors across the world.
Our exceptional range of skyScraper products enable users to clear damaging moss from a range of roof profiles again from the safety of the ground.
As well as exterior cleaning systems, we sell a range of commercial internal cleaning systems; from hygienic vacuums suitable for healthcare settings to ATEX certified vacuums and accessories for use in explosive Zone 22 environments.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
F.P: We currently work with partners and distributors all over the world, from Australia to the US, and we’re adding new members to our skyVac family every week.
What can you tell us about market trends?
F.P: The market is growing! As more and more people cleaning professionals realise there’s an alternative to expensive cherry pickers or wobbly ladders when thoroughly cleaning high reach locations, they’re turning to us, and our trusted dealers. We offer a comprehensive 12 month warranty on our systems, and have an amazing record of customer service, so both we and our dealers are very busy.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
F.P: This year we’ve launched two very unique products, even for us, ForestryVac and FloodVac.
ForestryVac is a revolutionary new system that provides a safe and efficient way to deal with oak processionary moths and other pests.
Until now, controlling infestations required climbing tall trees and risking direct contact with the pests, hiring expensive cherry pickers and platforms or using harmful chemicals.
Using a groundbreaking system that combines incredible suction power from an H-class vacuum and lightweight high-reach poles, ForestryVac removes oak processionary moths and their nests from the safety of the ground. The system is designed to be mobile and easy to maneuver, allowing specialists to reach even the most difficult-to-access branches and nests.
Meanwhile FloodVac is a fully mobile dual-pump water extraction system, which aims to revolutionise the flood and water extraction industry. Offering an unparalleled solution capable of extracting water up to 5m deep, FloodVac also comes equipped with an innovative floor wand system which picks up any remaining surface water and debris, leaving behind a dry floor.
What estimations do you have for 2024?
F.P: More growth! We’ve added 5 new staff to our team to supercharge our growth and new dealers in new countries are choosing to work with is and sell pour products each month.
