Wilcomatic Rail specialises in the design and maintenance of wash systems for trains, trams and monorails. The company is globally accredited by Bombardier and supply wash systems and other associated depot equipment to some of the biggest organisations in some of the busiest locations around the world.
Interview with David Nuth, Commercial Director at Wilcomatic Rail.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
David Nuth: Turnkey projects worldwide for all types of rail transportation: Train, Metro, Heavy Rail, Monorail, APM wash systems. CET systems.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
D.N: Products are always being updated with new technology and initiative design changes to help customers. All our machines are always tailored to the customer’s needs.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
D.N: Train Wash Plants, Cleaning Emissions Toilet (CET) and Fueling Systems as well as some ancillary equipment, reclaim systems, manual underframe cleaners and reverse osmosis plants (Working Water).
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
D.N: Coming out of Covid’s tunnel massive new investment is being made in all countries. We sell to the global market and all markets are very buoyant.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
Moving to driverless solutions, but some countries are still reluctant to do so. The desire is to get cars of the global road system
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
D.N: Driverless system with remote activation by RFID reader.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
D.N: Better than ever. 2023 will be our largest ever intake of new sales with products being delivered out to 2027.
