SIM FACTOR – INNOVATIVE RAILWAY SIMULATIONS

SIM Factor is a team of nearly 100 specialists including 25 people dedicated to hardware production, such as designers and service engineers. A team of 30 software developers is responsible for the Software, and another 30-person team of graphic artists and environment designers creates advanced simulators from concept to implementation. The production process is managed through close collaboration between teams and the use of modern communication technologies, which not only support the daily operations across two offices in Warsaw and Krakow, but also ensure dynamic customer service for clients in Poland and abroad.

The company is a dynamic and rapidly growing Polish simulation technology company, operating on the market since 2017. They specialize in creating advanced immersive simulators for the railway, aviation, entertainment, and defense industries. SIM Factor’s proprietary technologies including software design, hardware manufacturing, and full system integration are used both in Poland and on international markets. Thanks to innovation and precision, SIM Factor’s solutions set training and examination standards across keysectors of the economy.

SYNERGY SOFTWARE & HARDWARE AS AN ADVANTAGE

SIM Factor combines IT expertise with advanced hardware manufacturing, allowing them to deliver trainingand examination simulators as fully integrated systems. The company’s products are not just software, they offer a complete simulation experience tailored to the specific needs of each client.

Thanks to the synergy between software and hardware,SIM Factor creates solutions customized to meet the unique demands of different industries, raising the bar for safety and training efficiency.

CREATING THEIR OWN SOLUTIONS

SIM Factor’s innovation is driven by the continuous development of proprietary tools, such as virtual worldvisualization systems, interactive editors supporting the production process, and the advancement of theirown hardware solutions that optimize both cost and production time. (90% of Smart Lite components aremanufactured in-house by SIM Factor).

In-house component manufacturing optimizes maintenance and service costs, becoming not only acompetitive advantage during the bidding phase, but also during long-term system support.

The company’s ability to integrate software and hardware gives them a competitive edge and opens up opportunities in sectors such as entertainment, education, and defense simulations.

THE SOFTWARE

:Basing SIM offers on independently designed solutions allows SIM Factor to achieve unmatched functionality and precision, such as:

  • Realistic simulations of over 10,000 km of railway routes.
  • Proprietary world editor that reproduces even the finest details of railway infrastructure.

In 2022, SIM Factor has completed a breakthrough project– the first EU train driver examination center based on railway simulators, delivered for the Polish Office of Rail Transport (CEMM UTK).

The CEMM UTK project has become the market standard in Poland, featuring a comprehensive recreation of over 5,200 km of railway lines. The three full-cab motion platform simulators delivered are the most advanced solutions of this type in the European Union.

The project marked a milestone in SIM Factor’s development, representing the company’s largest reference todate– both in terms of the number of simulators delivered and the total project value (PLN15,610,188.20). This achievement solidified SIM Factor’s position as a leader in railway simulation and opened the door to international cooperation by demonstrating the company’s ability to deliver modern and competitive solutions.

RAIL VEHICLE SECTOR

SIM Factor’s simulators support train driver training in Poland, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Czech Republic. They are delivering the largest rail training project of the past 20 years for Northern Trains– the supply of 32 simulators with 18 years of support and maintenance.

The company is the market leader in Poland, and they are now focusing on expanding into new markets: the United Kingdom, India, and Central and Eastern Europe.
