Training talented young people is an essential part of a forward-looking corporate strategy. At Montech, the focus is on the professional development of young talent. In a special project this year, the trainees were able to demonstrate their skills under real conditions – with the planning and implementation of a complete LTE demo system for the showroom.
Montech AG is a leading Swiss technology company that has specialized in the industrialization and standardization of state-of-the-art, unusual belt conveyors, transfer systems, and innovative aluminum framing systems for more than 60 years. At the same time, this technology company is a training company. Montech offers young adults the opportunity to complete sound training in the professions of designer/EFZ, production mechanic/EFZ, and logistician/EFZ.
Practically oriented training as a success factor
Practical training ensures that skilled workers are not only trained on a theoretical level, but also gain comprehensive insight into various departments. This way, trainees are actively involved in product development, and they learn methods that prepare them optimally for their future tasks. At the same time, training contributes to strengthening the regional economy and fosters the company’s innovative power.
Combining theory and practice
Montech’s training programs aim to combine our trainees’ theoretical knowledge with practical tasks. By taking on independent activities, they gain valuable professional experience and increase their self-confidence. Special project work supports young people in this regard. This year, the seven trainees were able to develop and realize a complete transfer system LTE demo system for Montech’s showroom – from the initial concept idea to the detailed planning to the final installation.
Complex demands for trainees
The trainees were intensively involved in the project right from the start. Under the guidance of their mentors, they assumed responsibility in every project phase and searched together for solutions. The LTE demo system was supposed to be space-saving and contain many standard components as well as the MPS aluminum framing system. The aim was to present the transfer system’s performance and the variety of Montech’s products in impressive fashion.
Successful teamwork is the key to success
The project set high standards and offered our trainees the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience. After the planning phase, they created the required CAD data, organized the components from the warehouse, and performed the assembly work. At the end of the project, the LTE demo unit was successfully installed in the showroom. There it serves as an impressive example of Montech’s innovative power and shows the diverse application possibilities of the company’s products.
Perspectives for tomorrow’s professionals
This successful project demonstrates the importance of combining training and practical experience to achieve outstanding results and encourage young professionals. In addition to technical knowledge, the trainees acquired skills that are critical for their professional future, including teamwork, problem-solving skills, and process understanding. Working together as a team, developing joint solutions, and mastering the challenges have had a lasting impact on the trainees. With such training projects, Montech is providing an important impetus for the future of skilled workers and the innovative capacity of the industry.
