RESPICAIRE, FOR THE HEALTH OF YOUR INDOOR AIR

Respicaire was created to improve Indoor Air quality in residential, and commercial living spaces. The company manufactures a variety of air quality technologies covering ultraviolet germicidal lights, whole home purifiers, ionization, and filtration.

Interview with Greg Joutras, Partner HVAC Rep at Respicaire.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Greg Joutras: Respicare was started by John Hurley of Toronto Canada more than twenty years ago. When the Company started the first product was a hybrid electronic air cleaner. Today Respiciare has expanded and features many other air cleaning technologies. The company has grown and focuses on serving HVAC contractors, distributors, and OEM manufactures across the US and Canada. Respicaire also serves the medical and indoor greenhouse markets. Respicaire is actively engaged in training the industry in principles of indoor air quality.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

G.J: Respicaire is proud to announce the launch of the new BioClean Quad product. The BioClean is a high output ultraviolet light designed to disinfect the air, not just clean a HVAC coil. The BioClean is designed for commercial applications such as medical facilities, government, offices, and grow operations. The BioClean boasts 580 Watts of power, has a six-foot control zone, and offers a 360-degree radius of ultraviolet germicidal light. Respicaire products have been 3rd party tested by independent labs and shown to inactivate 99% of SARS COV-2 in seconds.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

G.J: Respicaire products integrate with the HVAC system to provide whole space protection. They are engineered to work in the smallest residential systems as well as larger commercial environments. Respicaire has solutions to combat indoor air quality issues like mold, virus, bacteria, gases, odors, dust, dander, and pollen.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

G.J: Respiciare works diligently with channel partners including contractors, distributors, and representative agencies to solve indoor air quality problems throughout the US and Canada.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

G.J: The strongest trend in the indoor air quality space is awareness. Since the COVID pandemic, consumers are considerably more aware of airborne germs, viruses, and bacteria in the air that they breathe. The demand for wellness products is on the rise. Respicaire continues to invest in technology and testing to provide clean healthy air to consumers across the US and Canada.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

G.J: Respicaire has recently invested heavily in ozone free air purification. The OdorMiser DTX has three technologies in one unit. It starts with ultraviolet germicidal light to keep the HVAC coil clean from biological growth. The second technology is a carbon filter to capture odors, gases, and VOC’s at a molecular level. The third technology is photo-catalytic-oxidation (PCO). The PCO creates H2O2, 02, and OH. The PCO process attacks germs, viruses, and bacteria. The OdorMiser DTX does all this without the use of ozone.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?

G.J: Respicaire is excited to watch the indoor air quality market grow. Airborne environmental hazards are unavoidable given our modern indoor living conditions. This makes it important to expand our product offerings and enhance indoor air treatment.
