Interview with Stephan Bachmann, Head of Sales at SEPA EUROPE GmbH.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Stephan Bachmann: The trading and production of products that are required for the cooling of electronic components as well as the customized cable assembly of fans.
E.E: What´s the news about new products?
S.B: The most remarkable features of SEPA EUROPE’s new product categories are the high energy efficiency and the high degree of reliability which in conjunction with an excellent lifespan of our products contributes to higher sustainability.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
S.B: Our wide product range is based essentially on fans that can be split into the following categories: Axial fans for DC voltage, radial fans for DC voltage and axial fans for AC voltage with the subcategory EC fans. EC stands for electronically commutated and enables AC fans to rotate independent of the power frequency while simultaneously saving energy. A wide variety of accessories and appropriate heat sinks complement the range.
E.E: At what stages is the market where you are currently active?
S.B: The electronics market remains an important driver of economic growth in Europe. Innovations and transformations require new systems and devices that would not function without the cooling of the electronic components. An end to this overwhelming trend is not in sight.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
S.B: Artificial intelligence and processors that have been developed specially for this purpose are gaining importance and enable us access to new customer groups. Our portfolio is well positioned and we will be playing an important role among the suppliers.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
S.B: The newly developed LF40P axial fan with its striking blade design is our most innovative product. We have significantly improved various product characteristics. We were able, for example, to reduce the noise level by several dB(A) while maintaining the same volume flow rate. Simultaneously we reduced not only the amount of materials used and the energy consumption but also the manufacturing costs.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2024?
S.B: As far as SOP is concerned, we are anticipating for 2024 a number of promising projects in all relevant sectors. We are expecting high demands in the automation and e-mobility sector particularly with regard to the automated image analysis.
