E.E: What’s the news about new products?
PLANIMOLDE: With over 45 years of experience in the tooling industry, Planimolde’s foundations can be found in the medical and biomedical Industries, what made us one of the reference companies in the region.
To face the worldwide pandemic crisis, our Research and Development focused in the development of our own PPE and lab test tubes for national and Spanish laboratories. Having started with serial productions of these products, we have a clean-room ISO6 with two injection machines and applied for the ISO13485 certification.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
PLANIMOLDE: The main area of activity is molds for injection up to 10 tons, with and without multimaterial technology, as well as molds with high mechanical complexity. During the Covid crisis, we entered a phase of developing our own products such as pipes, glasses, and visors. We now have the capacity to assist in product development for our clients, based on the experience gained during this period, with the application of automation for production, built on a network of competitive partners with proven track records in the field, so that together we can provide a complete package: Mold, automation, and if necessary, injection.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
PLANIMOLDE: The market is quite calm comparing with the past year.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
PLANIMOLDE: It is increasingly requested to develop more complex molds that integrate more technology or inject innovative materials.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
PLANIMOLDE:
- 2K and 3K Tools.
- Multiversion Tools (just one tool that makes several different parts at the same time, which can be changeable in between
- Molds with a high number of moving mechanical components.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2023?
PLANIMOLDE: Despite of being a tough year, we believe with good work and quality we can keep our company at the front line and aim for a successful end of 2023 and new perspectives for 2024.
