What are the main areas of activity of the company?

“The value of ECM lies in its ability to offer an integrated approach,” explains Bedonni. The organization’s activities are divided into four main areas: certification, laboratory testing, technical inspections, and training. As European Notified Body No. 1282, ECM performs conformity assessments for numerous EU directives and regulations, including the Machinery Directive, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and environmental noise.

The ISO/IEC 17025-accredited testing laboratory allows advanced testing to be carried out on electrical safety, mechanical testing, vibrations, IP protection ratings, and electromagnetic compatibility, alongside field inspections and training activities aimed at manufacturers, designers, and quality managers.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

During the interview, Bedonni also analyzes the evolution of the TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) market, a sector that is constantly growing thanks to increased product safety regulations and the need for compliance in international markets. Among the main trends are the digitization of verification processes, the growing demand for globally recognized certifications, and a greater focus on safety, sustainability, and manufacturer responsibility.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

ECM invests in highly innovative services, such as advanced testing for medical devices and complex machinery, compliance support for the safe importation of products, and specialized training programs. “Innovation is not only technological, but also cultural and organizational,” Bedonni points out.

Among the most ambitious goals for the new year is obtaining new strategic accreditations, with a particular focus on the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) sector

What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2026?

Looking ahead to early 2026, Luca Bedonni believes the outlook is positive: stable growth in demand for certification and testing services is expected, especially in high-tech industrial sectors. Stricter regulatory requirements will make certification bodies increasingly important as strategic partners for businesses.

With an operating model focused on innovation, quality, and internationalization, Ente Certificazione Macchine is preparing to face future challenges by consolidating its position in the European and global landscape of product compliance and safety.
