What’s the news about new products/services?
The current highlight is the SIPLACE V placement platform, which has been newly developed from the ground up. Under real production conditions, it delivers performance improvements of up to 30 percent in key electronics industries.
Crucially, the improvements are achieved not only under benchmark conditions but in real-life production environments with their complex circuit boards, lots of variants, frequent product changeovers, and demanding quality requirements.
Depending on the configuration, the platform achieves a placement performance of up to 105,000 components per hour with a precision of 25 µm @ 3 σ, thus setting new standards for high-speed electronics manufacturing applications.
With the SIPLACE V, ASMPT combines for the first time maximum productivity with the outstanding process quality and flexibility needed for modern high-mix production applications in a single platform. Today’s electronics manufacturers must be able to efficiently and reliably process a very broad spectrum of components ranging from super-small 016008M chips to large odd-shaped components (OSCs) and powerful ball grid arrays (BGAs) for applications in areas such as AI and high-performance computing.
