DRYER ONE™ BY TECHNIC ONE, OVER 40 YEARS OF ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

Some companies build machines. Others solve problems. Technic One firmly belongs to the second category. Founded in 1983 by Mr. Léon Crosset in the industrial zone of Les Plénesses in Thimister, Belgium, the company has spent over four decades building a reputation for excellence in the design and manufacture of innovative, automated industrial machinery. Its references now span five continents, across industries as diverse as metallurgy, aeronautics, mining, and textiles.

In 2013, drawing on this accumulated expertise, Technic One’s engineering team took a decisive step: they invented, designed, and developed a patented, low-temperature drying system unlike anything on the market. Dryer One™ was born. The technology works in continuous flow and reverse counter-current, at temperatures between 50 and 100 °C. Compared to conventional drum dryers, it consumes less energy, produces fewer emissions, requires less floor space, and carries significantly lower fire risk. A first dryer was commissioned in the pellet sector in 2016. By 2021, Dryer One™ machines were operating in the United States; in 2024, Technic One opened Dryer One LLC in Florida to serve the North American market directly.

Unlike system integrators who outsource a large part of their production, Technic One handles every step internally, from engineering to commissioning.

Sylva, Poland: Two Dryers, One Industrial Ambition

Among the references that best illustrate the robustness and scalability of Dryer One™ dryers, the case of Sylva in Poland stands out. This wood industry client turned to Technic One to secure and industrialise its sawdust drying process, with results so convincing that the partnership led to a second order.

Sylva now operates two complementary dryers: a DO300, processing 14 tonnes of sawdust per hour, and a DO400, with a capacity of 18 tonnes per hour. The second unit was ordered in 2023, tangible proof of the client’s satisfaction and of the machines’ reliability under intensive, continuous production conditions. Together, the two dryers give Sylva a combined capacity of 32 tonnes per hour, a figure that speaks to the scale of its industrial ambitions.

A complete range built for every scale of production

The Dryer One™ range is built around two distinct technologies, each available in multiple sizes to match any production scale, from smaller processors to large industrial sites running continuously.

The single disc dryer (50–100 °C) is the ideal choice for lower volumes, products with lower initial moisture content, or applications requiring gentler drying. Hot air passes through the rotating disc from top to bottom; an optional energy recovery system can recirculate warm air from the dry zone back to the wet zone for additional efficiency gains. The single disc range runs from the DO50L (50 m², 2 t/h) up to the DO350L (350 m², 21 t/h):

ModelSurface (m²)Capacity*
DO50L502 t/h
DO100L1006 t/h
DO150L1509 t/h
DO200L20012 t/h
DO250L25015 t/h
DO350L35021 t/h

The double disc dryer (65–100 °C) combines optimised thermal energy use with high throughput. Hot air traverses both rotating discs successively, top to bottom, reusing residual energy from the upper disc to begin drying the material on the lower disc. The double disc range runs from the DO200 (200 m², 9 t/h) up to the DO700 (700 m², 35 t/h):

ModelSurface (m²)Capacity*
DO2002009 t/h
DO30030014 t/h
DO40040018 t/h
DO50050023 t/h
DO70070035 t/h

Test tower & engineering office: results guaranteed before delivery

What truly sets Technic One apart is its ability to validate every project technically before a single machine is built. In the Thimister workshops, a dedicated test tower allows full-scale trials using the client’s own material: sawdust, biomass, pellets, food industry byproducts, biochar, animal bedding, industrial waste. The list of dryable materials continues to grow with every new industrial challenge the team takes on.

This unique infrastructure gives clients a critical assurance: drying parameters are defined on the basis of real data, measured on the client’s actual raw material. No theoretical approximations, every project is grounded in values proven under real operating conditions.

Backing this testing capability, Technic One’s in-house engineering office takes over to design and size the ideal equipment. Mechanical, thermal, pneumatic, automation, electrical: the engineers command every discipline required to deliver a dryer that performs. The production workshop sits directly alongside the engineering and commercial offices, a proximity that unites teams, sharpens production oversight, and continuously fuels innovation.

The test tower and engineering office are the heart of the Dryer One™ difference: every dryer delivered is the result of engineering tested in real conditions, not a catalogue promise.
