INOVA, BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN WARM AND COLD

INOVA is a Bosnia and Herzegovina-based manufacturer specializing in the development and production of high-efficiency heat pumps and advanced heating solutions for residential and commercial applications. Founded with a clear focus on sustainability, innovation, and energy efficiency, the company combines modern engineering with European-quality manufacturing standards to deliver reliable heating technologies for demanding markets. INOVA products are designed and manufactured in Bosnia and Herzegovina, using high-quality European components and advanced production processes.

Interview with Tomislav Ladan, Managing Director at INOVA.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Tomislav Ladan: The company’s primary focus is the design, development, and manufacturing of air-to-water heat pumps utilizing environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant technology. In addition to manufacturing, INOVA provides technical support, installer education, system design assistance, and after-sales services through its growing international partner network.

The company is actively expanding across European markets and collaborates closely with distributors, installers, and HVAC professionals to promote sustainable heating solutions.

What’s the news about new products/services?

T.L: One of the most significant developments for INOVA in 2026 is the continued market expansion of its latest generation of R290 heat pumps, which have achieved outstanding seasonal efficiency results. Independent testing conducted by the renowned Swiss testing institute WPZ in Buchs confirmed a SCOP value of up to 5.32, placing INOVA among the highest-performing heat pump manufacturers in Europe.

This exceptional efficiency means that for every unit of electricity consumed, the system can generate more than five units of heating energy over the course of a heating season, resulting in substantial energy savings and reduced environmental impact.

In addition to its high efficiency, the latest INOVA heat pumps feature advanced inverter technology, intelligent control systems, remote connectivity, and environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant. The company also introduced new hydraulic solutions, including the INOVA Hydrobox, designed to simplify installation and improve overall system performance.

What are the ranges of products/services?

T.L: INOVA’s product portfolio is centered around its ACP (Air Compact Propane) series of air-to-water heat pumps, developed for highly efficient residential and light commercial heating applications.

The ACP range currently consists of two models:

  • ACP 10 – designed for residential applications requiring up to 10 kW of heating capacity under standard operating conditions.
  • ACP 15 – designed for larger residential and commercial buildings, providing up to 15 kW of heating capacity under standard operating conditions.

Both models utilize the environmentally friendly R290 (propane) refrigerant, feature advanced inverter technology, and are designed to deliver outstanding seasonal efficiency and low operating costs. Independent testing by the Swiss WPZ Institute in Buchs confirmed a SCOP value of up to 5.32, placing the ACP series among the most efficient heat pumps currently available on the European market.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

T.L: The European heat pump market continues to evolve rapidly. Although some countries experienced temporary slowdowns following the exceptional growth of previous years, long-term demand remains strong due to decarbonization goals, rising energy-efficiency requirements, and increasing awareness of renewable heating technologies.

Customers today are seeking products that offer not only energy savings but also reliability, intelligent controls, and low environmental impact. These trends align perfectly with INOVA’s strategic direction.

What can you tell us about market trends?

T.L: Several key trends are shaping the HVAC industry:

  • Increased adoption of natural refrigerants such as R290.
  • Growing demand for highly efficient heat pumps with superior SCOP values.
  • Integration of smart controls, remote monitoring, and IoT technologies.
  • Greater emphasis on sustainability and carbon reduction.
  • Increased demand for compact and easy-to-install systems.
  • Expansion of heat pump applications into both residential and commercial sectors.
  • Industry events such as MCE 2026 highlighted these same trends, particularly the focus on energy efficiency, digitalization, and environmentally responsible technologies.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

T.L: INOVA’s flagship innovation is its latest generation of R290 heat pumps.

The systems feature:

  • Advanced inverter technology
  • Exceptionally high seasonal efficiency
  • Intelligent control systems
  • Remote connectivity
  • Optimized airflow design for stable winter operation
  • Low refrigerant charge
  • Environmentally friendly refrigerant technology

The company’s unique engineering approach, including rear-air intake design and optimized heat exchanger configuration, improves operational stability in demanding winter conditions.

Recognition through the MCE Excellence Award further confirms the innovative nature of INOVA’s technology and its contribution to Europe’s energy transition goals.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?

T.L: For the second half of 2026, INOVA expects continued growth across European markets, driven by increasing demand for sustainable heating solutions and the transition away from fossil-fuel-based heating systems.

The company plans to strengthen its international distribution network, introduce additional product innovations, and continue investing in manufacturing capacity and technical support infrastructure. Particular emphasis will be placed on markets where energy-efficiency regulations and decarbonization initiatives are accelerating the adoption of heat pump technologies.

INOVA remains confident that demand for high-performance, environmentally friendly heating systems will continue to grow and that the company is well-positioned to support this transformation through innovation, quality, and customer-focused solutions.
