BRALO: ENABLING THE NEXT GENERATION OF INDUSTRIAL ASSEMBLY

BRALO is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fastening solutions, with more than 45 years of experience developing rivets, rivet nuts, installation tools and engineered fastening solutions. Headquartered in Spain and present in more than 70 countries, the company serves manufacturers across a wide range of industries, including automotive, ground transportation, renewable energy, construction, industrial manufacturing, and infrastructure.

Interview with Eduardo González, Chief Strategy Officer at BRALO.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Eduardo González: BRALO operates primarily in three key areas: fastening and engineered solutions for industrial and automotive applications.

Our activities go far beyond supplying products. We work closely with manufacturers across a wide range of industries, helping them address and solve increasingly complex assembly challenges. This includes everything from selecting the most suitable fastening system to developing customized solutions tailored to specific production, performance, or automation requirements.

Thanks to our international presence and our manufacturing, engineering, and technical support capabilities, BRALO supports our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their projects, regardless of where they are located in the world.

What’s the news about new products/services?

E.G: One of our most important recent developments is the launch of the new PT® range of pneumatic installation tools. Developed specifically for demanding industrial environments, the PT® family combines forged aluminum construction, simplified high-precision engineering and reduced maintenance requirements to deliver exceptional reliability and productivity. The range has been designed to minimize downtime while offering faster working cycles, lower compressed-air consumption and outstanding durability. The PT® portfolio covers applications for blind rivets, structural rivets, lockbolts, rivet nuts and rivet studs, providing manufacturers with a complete installation solution capable of adapting to a wide variety of assembly requirements.

What are the ranges of products/services?

E.G: Our product range is structured around three core areas: fastening systems, installation tools and engineered solutions.

BRALO develops and manufactures a wide range which includes but it’s not limited to rivets, rivet nuts and lockbolts, complemented by a comprehensive portfolio of manual, pneumatic, battery-powered and hydropneumatics installation equipment. In addition, we develop customized solutions for customers facing specific assembly challenges.

This combination allows us to support projects from the initial design stage through to large-scale manufacturing.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

E.G: Although global economic uncertainty continues to affect many general industrial and automotive sectors, BRALO remains positive about the long-term outlook of the markets we serve.

Investment in infrastructure, renewable energy, transportation and industrial modernization continues to generate opportunities for growth. At the same time, manufacturers are under increasing pressure to improve efficiency, quality and competitiveness, creating demand for fastening solutions that contribute directly to these objectives.

Our international presence allows us to remain close to customers worldwide and to identify new opportunities across diverse markets and industries.

What can you tell us about market trends?

E.G: Several major trends are shaping the fastening industry today.

The first is lightweighting. Manufacturers are continuously seeking ways to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity, particularly in transportation and mobility applications.

The second is the growing use of mixed-material assemblies. Engineers increasingly combine aluminum, high-strength steels, composites and other advanced materials, creating new fastening challenges that require innovative solutions. Automation is another key trend. Production environments are becoming more connected and data-driven, increasing the need for fastening systems that deliver repeatability, reliability and process consistency.

At the same time, customer expectations are evolving significantly. Manufacturers are no longer looking solely for a fastener supplier; they are looking for a partner capable of supporting them throughout the entire development process. At BRALO, this means providing application analysis, engineering support, product customization and guidance in selecting the most appropriate fastening solution for each project.

As products and manufacturing processes become more complex, this collaborative approach is becoming increasingly important and is creating new opportunities for value-added partnerships between suppliers and manufacturers.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

E.G: Over the last few years, BRALO has invested significantly in new manufacturing capabilities to expand the range of fastening solutions we can offer our customers.

These investments have strengthened our ability to develop customized solutions tailored to specific customer requirements, from product modifications to completely new designs.

Having these capabilities in-house allows us to work closely with customers from the early stages of a project and respond quickly to new technical challenges.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?

E.G: Following a positive first half of the year, we expect this momentum to continue through the remainder of 2026. This would allow us to achieve the objectives we set at the beginning of the year, not only related to sales growth but in terms of higher profitability and market penetration as well.

Thanks to our strengths, our financial vitality, and the dedication of our people, BRALO has built a strong platform for growth and is well-positioned to advance its strategic ambitions in the years to come.
