TECNOVER is an Italian company founded in 1984 by Francesco Ricotti and Lorenza Cera, following many years of experience in the spray-painting equipment industry. Since developing its first airless paint sprayer, the company has grown into one of the leading Italian and European manufacturers of professional airless painting equipment, exporting its products to customers around the world.
Today, TECNOVER is led by the second generation of the Ricotti family, Stefano and Massimo, who continue to build on the values that have defined the company since its foundation: quality, innovation, reliability and continuous technological development. Their equipment is used across a wide range of sectors, including construction, woodworking, metalworking, industrial applications and the marine industry.
In 2025, TECNOVER was officially recognized as one of the Historic Companies of Lombardy, an award granted to businesses that have operated continuously for more than 40 years and have made a significant contribution to the region’s economic development. This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to delivering high-quality, durable solutions while remaining true to our family-owned heritage and customer-focused approach.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Our core activity is the design, manufacture and distribution of professional spray-painting equipment for a wide range of industrial and construction applications. Over the years, we have developed solutions based on three main painting technologies, each designed to meet specific customer needs in terms of performance, finish quality and sustainability.
Airless painting is our flagship technology and represents the core of our product portfolio. By using high-pressure spraying without compressed air, Airless systems virtually eliminate overspray, significantly reducing material waste while ensuring high transfer efficiency, faster application and a safer working environment. Our Testarossa series is designed for demanding professional applications and is suitable for construction, waterproofing, asbestos encapsulation, carpentry, marine coatings and industrial painting. These machines can spray a broad range of materials, including enamels, primers, interior and exterior paints, epoxy resins, intumescent coatings, waterproofing products and other high-viscosity materials, with selected models equipped with stainless-steel hopper tanks for even more demanding applications.

We also offer HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) painting systems, which provide an environmentally friendly solution by maximizing paint transfer efficiency while minimizing overspray and emissions. Our Turboshort 1000 and Airbass Turbo 800 turbines generate a high volume of warm, dry air that improves paint adhesion, accelerates drying and delivers high-quality finishes. Combined with the Airbass 300 professional spray gun and a wide range of nozzle sizes, these systems allow precise adjustment of spray patterns and material flow, making them ideal for modern low-solvent and water-based coatings while reducing paint consumption and environmental impact.
The third area of our portfolio is continuous air spray painting, designed for low- and medium-viscosity materials that require a high-quality finish. Our Short 110 system replaces the traditional gravity-cup gun with a lightweight spray gun connected to a pressurized tank, eliminating frequent refilling and improving productivity, consistency and operator comfort. Thanks to its compact, portable design and the availability of multiple nozzle sizes, the Short series is particularly suitable for spraying products such as wall enamels, polychrome coatings, alphatone paints and light plastic coatings, especially for indoor applications.
Through these three product families, we are able to offer professional solutions for customers operating in construction, industrial manufacturing, woodworking, metalworking, marine applications and many other sectors, combining productivity, reliability, finish quality and long-term durability.
What are the most innovative new products or services currently marketed by TECNOVER?
One of the most significant recent innovations from TECNOVER is the Airless Revolver, a patented professional Airless spray gun that introduces a completely new approach to spray painting operations. Its key feature is a unique poly-magnet system that allows the spray fan to rotate instantly by 90 degrees between vertical and horizontal positions, using a single finger gesture and without any need for disassembly or tools.
This innovation is designed to significantly improve workflow efficiency by enabling operators to adapt immediately to different surfaces and spraying directions while maintaining continuous operation. As a result, it reduces working time, increases productivity and ensures a more uniform application even on complex or irregular surfaces. In addition, the system is engineered for ergonomics, reducing physical strain during extended use, and it supports simplified cleaning without disassembly since it is cleaned together with the gun.

Alongside the gun itself, TECNOVER has also developed the Airless Fan Revolver accessory, which brings the same 90-degree spray fan rotation capability to existing Airless spray guns. This solution allows professionals to upgrade their current equipment without replacing it, making the innovation more accessible and highly practical.
Together, these solutions represent a clear step forward in spray-painting technology, combining speed, precision, comfort and adaptability, and are designed for professional use across construction, industrial manufacturing, woodworking and marine applications.

What are the ranges of products/services?
Our product portfolio covers a complete range of professional spray-painting equipment and accessories, allowing us to provide customers with integrated solutions for a wide variety of applications.
Our core product line consists of professional Airless paint sprayers, designed and manufactured in Italy for demanding applications in construction, structural steelwork, woodworking, marine and industrial sectors. These systems are engineered to deliver high performance, reliability and consistent spray quality across different coating materials.
To complement our Airless equipment, we also offer a comprehensive range of original accessories, including spray guns, nozzles, extensions, hoses and other components that enhance productivity, flexibility and application precision. In addition, we supply a full range of genuine spare parts, ensuring maximum reliability, long service life and optimal performance throughout the equipment’s lifecycle.

Another important product family is our HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) turbine systems, developed for customers seeking environmentally friendly painting solutions. These systems reduce overspray, improve transfer efficiency, optimize paint consumption and contribute to a cleaner and safer working environment while maintaining a high-quality finish.
We also offer the Short series for continuous air spray painting. Designed for low- and medium-viscosity coatings, these compact and portable systems eliminate many of the limitations of traditional cup guns by using a pressurized tank, resulting in greater operator comfort, fewer interruptions and increased productivity. The Short range is particularly suitable for applications involving wall enamels, polychrome coatings, alphatone products and light plastic coatings.
By combining professional equipment, accessories, spare parts and specialized painting systems, we are able to offer complete solutions that meet the requirements of professionals across construction, industrial manufacturing, woodworking, metalworking and marine applications.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
We sell on Italian market and export worldwide.
The Italian market seems to be holding up, but there is a widespread crisis at a global level, certainly due to international tensions over the war in Ukraine and the Middle East.
What can you tell us about market trends?
We are expanding the network of distributors so we are confident, as soon as the tension will be lower, to increase the selling as we have always done in our over 40 years of history.
What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?
Our expectations for the second half of 2026 are closely linked to the overall international economic and geopolitical situation. As highlighted in our current market overview, we operate both in the Italian market and across international export markets.
At present, the Italian market shows a relatively stable performance, while our export activity allows us to maintain a strong global presence. However, the broader international context remains uncertain, mainly due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, including conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, which continue to impact global supply chains and market confidence.
For this reason, our outlook for the second half of 2026 remains cautious. Any developments in global stability and economic conditions will play a key role in shaping demand and investment levels in our sector.
