Devinn is an engineering company specialized in custom R&D, in the field of power engineering and the automotive industry. DEVINN is a young company, but it is already past its startup days.
With more than 150 development projects under our belt, the company is at home in the field of technical innovation.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
DEVINN: Custom development services, lights development, battery management systems, supporting electromobility – charging, hydrogen projects.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
DEVINN: Our recent product is called H2BOT. It is a mobile hydrogen charger for electric cars, which uses the technology of fuel cells and is controlled remotely. H2BOT has a system of cameras and a robotic hand. With this hand, the device can open the charge port of an electric car and charge it without any human help.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
DEVINN: Our portfolio is very wide. We offer our own products as well as services. In terms of products, we offer a hydrogen power generator called H2Base and a mobile robotic electric car charger called H2BOT, which also uses energy from hydrogen (fuel cell technology). We also offer products in the field of lighting technology, where we achieve unique lighting parameters with our lights. These are primarily lights for motor-sport (Rallye, etc.). In the area of services, these are primarily development projects ranging from electrical engineering, cross electromobility till hydrogen applications.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
DEVINN: Interest in electromobility projects is growing rapidly and brings a real business. We at DEVINN are betting more on hydrogen projects. The growth of the interest in hydrogen applications is much slower, on the other hand, current unpleasant situation related to the energy crisis helps to the hydrogen. Experience in the hydrogen projects in these early ages will bear fruit with time.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
DEVINN: Companies from the field of Electromobility try to make it more and more comfortable for the final user, which means fast charging, increasing the range of the vehicles, etc. For example, fast charging also brings challenges for the technology and energy distribution.
Green hydrogen production is another very present topic discussed in politics, business, and the technical sphere. Green hydrogen could be obtained via an electrolysis process from energy excesses from renewables. It is a possibility how to store zero-emission source of energy. Moreover, it partially allows being independent of the grid* and from conventional fossil sources of energy.
*Hydrogen economy represents local production and consumption of hydrogen. The energy which is stored in hydrogen than can easily be transferred into heat and electricity to cover users’ needs. It is called an off-grid system
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
DEVINN: H2BASE is a power generator, which uses hydrogen fuel cell (FC) technology. Basically, hydrogen and oxygen from the air fuse in the FC and create energy. The power generator has multiple usages – it can be used as a primary or back-up source of energy, as well as a charger for electric cars, which you can move from place to place and disconnect it from the power grid (off-grid system).
H2BOT – remote-controlled charger of electric vehicles released in October in Germany (already described in Q.3.)
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
DEVINN: Finish running projects and prepare business conditions to run our hydrogen products and services commercially in the upcoming year.
