As commercial airlines and aircraft OEMs navigate supply chain constraints while striving for net-zero carbon goals, the demand for lightweight, certified, and environmentally sustainable cabin interiors has never been higher. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Spanish aviation textile specialist Industrial Neotex is meeting this demand by unifying textile manufacturing, seat cushion fabrication, and aeronautical engineering across four production facilities in Spain. Operating under EN 9100, ISO 9001, and full EASA production, maintenance, and design approvals, the company delivers FAR/CS 25.853-compliant ready-to-install carpets, seat covers, and curtains to customers in over 32 countries.
Ángel Hernández Arbeloa, Chief Commercial Officer at Industrial Neotex, details the deployment of the proprietary NeoDye® waterless digital coloration process at Crevillente, the successful First Article Inspection for Embraer’s E2 jet family, and strategies for sustainable cabin retrofits heading into late 2026.
A brief description of the company and its activities.
Ángel Hernández Arbeloa: Industrial Neotex is a Spanish company specialising in the design, manufacture and certification of high-performance textile and cabin interiors solutions for aircraft interiors. Founded in 1986, the company celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026.
From four production sites in Spain, Industrial Neotex combines textile manufacturing, digital printing, cutting, sewing, finishing, seat cushion manufacturing and aeronautical engineering capabilities. Its solutions are supplied to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, MRO providers and cabin-interior specialists in more than 32 countries.
The company operates under EN 9100 and ISO 9001 quality-management systems and holds EASA production, maintenance and design approvals. Its positioning can be summarised as sustainable, high-performance textiles for tomorrow’s aircraft cabin.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Á.H.A: Industrial Neotex operates across the complete lifecycle of aircraft-interior textile products. Its main activities include the design and manufacture of aircraft carpets, seat covers, seat cushions and curtains, together with complementary cabin-interior products and technical materials.
The company supports both line-fit and retrofit programmes. It works with airlines, OEMs and MRO organisations on catalogue products, customised cabin schemes and ready-to-install solutions manufactured according to approved drawings.
A key differentiating factor is the integration of textile manufacturing with aeronautical design, production and maintenance capabilities. This enables Industrial Neotex to support customers from initial material selection and cabin design through certification, industrialisation, manufacturing and replacement during the aircraft’s operational life.
What’s the news about new products/services?
Á.H.A: One of Industrial Neotex’s most significant recent developments is the commissioning of a new digital carpet-printing capability at its Crevillente manufacturing facility.

This investment strengthens the industrial implementation of NeoDye®, the company’s digital, waterless colouration technology. It provides greater design flexibility and colour consistency while facilitating repeatability, shorter production runs and more efficient use of resources.
During 2026, Industrial Neotex also successfully completed the First Article Inspection for the Embraer E2 carpet programme. This milestone supports the company’s role as a supplier of catalogue and ready-to-install carpets for the E2 aircraft family.
In parallel, the company continues to develop lighter products incorporating recycled materials and to improve the digital integration of its planning, manufacturing, logistics and traceability processes.
What are the ranges of products/services?
Á.H.A: Industrial Neotex’s product portfolio includes aircraft carpets, tailored seat covers, seat cushions, aircraft curtains, technical materials and complementary cabin-interior components.
Carpets can be supplied in rolls or as ready-to-install kits cut according to aircraft drawings, with edge treatment and optional self-adhesive systems. Seat covers are manufactured in textile, technical leather or other approved materials. The company also provides aeronautical design, certification, production and maintenance support.
The portfolio covers both standard and customised solutions. Products are developed to meet the relevant aircraft-interior requirements, including flammability performance under FAR/CS 25.853 and applicable manufacturer specifications.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
Á.H.A: The aircraft-interiors market is experiencing renewed activity, driven by increasing passenger demand, fleet expansion and the need to refurbish existing aircraft while new-aircraft delivery constraints continue.
For airlines and MRO organisations, this creates growing demand for certified materials that combine durability, short lead times and reliable availability. Cabin products must maintain their performance under intensive use while also helping operators reduce weight, maintenance requirements and environmental impact.
At the same time, aircraft manufacturers and airlines are asking suppliers for greater transparency, traceability and measurable sustainability. This creates opportunities for specialised manufacturers capable of combining textile expertise with aeronautical certification, industrial flexibility and control over their supply chain.

What can you tell us about market trends?
Á.H.A: Sustainability is becoming a technical and operational requirement rather than simply a design preference. Airlines are increasingly looking for recycled materials, lighter products, reduced-resource manufacturing and credible environmental data, without compromising safety or durability.

Customisation is another important trend. Cabin interiors are a visible part of an airline’s brand identity, so operators require greater freedom in colours, patterns and coordinated schemes across carpets, seat covers and curtains. Digital manufacturing technologies can provide this flexibility while maintaining consistency between production batches and replacement orders.
The market is also moving towards ready-to-install products and more integrated supplier relationships. Airlines and MROs want to reduce installation time, simplify procurement and work with partners capable of supporting design, certification, manufacturing and replacement requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
Á.H.A: NeoDye® is currently one of Industrial Neotex’s most distinctive innovations. It is a 100% waterless digital colouration process developed for textile applications and particularly suited to aircraft carpets.
Unlike conventional wet-dyeing processes, NeoDye® applies colour digitally, supporting detailed designs, accurate colour control and repeatability while eliminating water from the colouration stage. It is also suitable for shorter production runs and customised cabin schemes.
The technology is combined with carpets manufactured using recycled nylon and backing materials containing recycled content. Industrial Neotex is also working to reduce product weight and to supply finished, ready-to-install carpet kits, helping customers improve installation efficiency and minimise onsite waste.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?
Á.H.A: During the second half of 2026, Industrial Neotex will focus on consolidating its recently added manufacturing capabilities and supporting the industrial ramp-up of current airline and OEM programmes.
The company expects demand to remain positive in both new aircraft programmes and cabin refurbishment. Its priorities will include expanding the application of NeoDye®, strengthening its ready-to-install portfolio and continuing to improve operational efficiency, digital traceability and manufacturing flexibility.
Industrial Neotex will also use its 40th anniversary to reinforce the long-term relationships it has built with airlines, OEMs and MRO organisations. Rather than treating the anniversary only as a retrospective milestone, the company sees it as a platform for its next stage of international and technological development.
