The inaugural edition of the IndustryShift Conference, organized by FineEngineering Magazine on October 21 at the Caro Hotel in Bucharest, brought together over 100 industry professionals, technology company representatives, manufacturers, and engineering specialists. The event created a framework for dialogue and networking dedicated to solutions contributing to the transformation of the industry, from automation and digitalization to operational efficiency and smart energy management.
Designed as a meeting platform for technology providers, system integrators, and companies using these solutions in their operations, the IndustryShift Conference brought to light the concrete challenges faced by the industry and the ways technology can support the modernization of production processes.
Practical Dialogue on Industrial Transformation
The conference program addressed three major tracks – The Automation Shift, The Manufacturing Shift, and The Digital Shift, bringing together perspectives from sectors such as industrial robotics, process automation, manufacturing, logistics, and digital infrastructure.
Represented companies included COPA-DATA CEE, Teradyne Robotics, DHL Express Romania, Kawasaki Robotics, HIWIN, TRUMPF România, ROCOM Industrial Solutions, BOMA Prefabricate, Petra Pavaje Sud, Makerly Romania,VERTIV, SHE Information Technology, Hyperfy, and Teeptrak.
Discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between technology providers and industrial users, as well as the role of automation and digitalization in developing operations that are more flexible, better connected, and easier to adapt to market demands.

The program included three presentations delivered prior to each of the three panel sessions. Jean-Baptiste Quiqueran-Beaujeu, Head of International Business Development, COPA-DATA CEE, opened the presentation series, followed by Camil Aliman, Marketing Director Eurasia & Global Product Marketing, Valmont Industries, who addressed the importance of automation in irrigation systems and the role of technology in improving agricultural efficiency. The third presentation was delivered by Laurențiu Dragomir, Business Development Manager Romania & Moldova, VERTIV.
To conclude the event, Darcom Energy hosted a workshop dedicated to automation solutions and smart energy management.
Technological Solutions and Networking
In addition to the presentations and discussion sessions, the networking area offered participants the opportunity to discover technological solutions and practical applications presented by participating companies. Among these was a small robotic arm, which added a live demonstration component to the event.
Direct interaction with the displayed technologies complemented the main stage discussions, providing a context for exchanging experience and exploring potential applications within industrial environments. At the same time, meetings between attendees created opportunities for establishing new professional relationships and continuing the dialogue among suppliers, integrators, and technology users.

A Starting Point for Future Industry Gatherings
“We designed IndustryShift Conference as a space where industry professionals can openly discuss the challenges they encounter and the available solutions to address them. The attendance at this first edition and the quality of the dialogue confirm that there is strong interest in such meetings, where technology, practical experience, and the real needs of companies come together. We want IndustryShift Conference to become a platform for dialogue and collaboration for the industrial community,” stated Daniela Rădeanu, Managing Editor, FineEngineering Magazine.
The first edition of IndustryShift Conference marks the beginning of an initiative dedicated to connecting the industrial community and fostering knowledge sharing around the technologies and strategies shaping the future of manufacturing.
FineEngineering Magazine thanks the speakers, partners, and all participants who contributed to the success of the event.

IndustryShift Conference Returns in 2027
