Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Jonathan Parry: We stock and assemble within 48 hours connectors for a broad range of harsh environment applications where our customers need a highly reliable solution – markets we serve include:

E.E: What’s the news about new products?
J.P: We are investing heavily in new product launches in 2023 to bring innovative solutions from our manufacturing partners to our customers. For example, we are expanding our range of Electric Vehicle charging products as well as investing heavily in Space Grade products which carry the required ESA or NASA approvals.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
J.P: We carry a broad range of circular and rectangular connectors for both “box to box” and board level applications which are all available on our website complete with full technical specifications. Some of our fastest selling products include 38999, 26482, 5015 and DSUB connectors from leading manufacturers such as Amphenol, ITT, Souriau, Conesys and Cinch.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
J.P: We are seeing good double-digit growth across most markets including Aviation, Industrial and Defence.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
J.P: The recent disruptions to global supply chains have put an even greater emphasis on inventory and expert service. I see more and more customers turning to PEI Genesis as we have unrivalled levels of components on the shelf to provide the right solution for their project and they can get their products within 48 hours to avoid delays within their own production schedules.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
J.P: I am seeing big steps forward in the miniaturization of connectors with the ability to carry more and more data and power as well as the need for more reliable connectors with higher mating cycles.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
J.P: The outlook is extremely positive for PEI Genesis despite the global challenges that we read about every day in the news – we are investing more than ever in new branches, acquisitions and new innovative products to ensure we remain the #1 value added distributor in the connector industry!
