Interview with János Czupy, Managing Director at DEXON Systems.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

János Czupy: DEXON Systems operates across multiple segments of the professional audiovisual industry, focusing on advanced signal management, video wall control, and real-time data visualization.

Its main activities include:

  • Design and manufacturing modular video wall controllers, matrix switchers, video processors, and multiviewers.
  • Software development for AV control, remote operation, and user interfaces.
  • Custom system integration for mission-critical environments such as security control rooms, traffic management centers, utilities, and transportation hubs.
  • Global technical support and distribution, serving system integrators, AV professionals, and corporate partners.

What’s the news about new products/services?

J.C: While DEXON continues to expand its modular video wall controller family, the company is also investing heavily in standalone products to meet the growing demand for compact, ready-to-use solutions. Models such as the DVP824, DVP661, and the new DVP1644 reflect this direction. These reliable, small-footprint systems deliver professional performance for smaller control rooms, meeting spaces, and digital signage applications.

In parallel, DEXON is exploring new development paths in AV over IP and SDVoE technologies. Current R&D efforts focus on designing products that combine the company’s main principle of reliability with simple and intuitive operation. The aim is to provide easy-to-use systems that ensure stable performance and seamless signal management across modern network environments.

What are the ranges of products/services?

J.C: DEXON’s product portfolio covers the complete AV signal chain:

  • Video Wall Controllers (DXN series) – Real-time control and visualization for multi-screen installations with Windows GUI.
  • Video Processors (DIVIP and DIMAX series) – Seamless scaling, switching, and processing for complex display systems.
  • Matrix Switchers (DMX series) – Modular, high-bandwidth switching between multiple input and output sources.
  • Multiviewers – Compact solutions for displaying multiple sources on a single screen in 4K60 or even 5K resolution. Perfect for LED walls and smaller configurations.
  • Extenders – Reliable HDMI/HDBaseT signal transmission over distances up to 100 meters with PoE support.

These ranges are complemented by advanced software tools for centralized system management and remote operation, creating a unified platform for professional visualization tasks.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

J.C: The global AV and control room market continues to expand, driven by the growing demand for real-time data visualization, remote collaboration, and situational awareness.

DEXON Systems holds a strong position in Europe and Asia, with a growing presence in the Middle East and the Americas. Despite a competitive environment, the company stands out through its in-house engineering, where all product design and manufacturing are carried out by DEXON’s own expert team. This approach ensures full control over quality, innovation, and reliability. Combined with flexible modular design and long product lifecycles, these factors make DEXON a trusted choice for integrators and end users looking for sustainable, future-ready solutions.

What can you tell us about market trends?

J.C: Several key trends are shaping the professional AV market today:

  • Integration of AV and IT — Customers expect seamless integration of network-based video and data sources.
  • Remote operation and monitoring — Systems must be securely accessible from anywhere, supported by DEXON’s KVM and LAN-based solutions.
  • Higher resolutions and frame rates — The transition to 4K60 and beyond continues, driving demand for robust signal processing.
  • Sustainability and longevity — Clients prioritize long product lifecycles and low maintenance costs, aligning with DEXON’s design philosophy of reliability and durability.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

J.C: The DXN video wall controller family represents DEXON’s flagship innovation, combining advanced hardware architecture with powerful yet intuitive software control. Its modular design, real-time rendering, and high scalability make it suitable for a wide range of applications, from compact 2×2 video walls to large 144×72 installations. The system supports Picture-in-Picture display with up to 32 simultaneous video windows, ensuring maximum flexibility in visualizing multiple live sources.

Each DXN controller runs on Windows Server 2022 or Windows 11 and is operated through DXWallControl software, which provides a simple and ergonomic interface for layout management, live preview, and centralized system control.

Another important innovation is the DXWall NetComputer feature, which allows operators to visualize and control remote workstations over a local network using open-standard VNC technology. This offers a cost-effective and flexible solution for centralized control room management while maintaining the highest level of reliability and ease of use.
