Frigoveneta Group is an Italian industrial refrigeration group specialising in the engineering, manufacturing, installation and lifecycle service of refrigeration systems. Today, the Group brings together Frigoveneta, Mercuri Angelo Frindes, Bonera Refrigerazioni, Freddo&Co, SAIM and Frigoveneta Deutschland, combining complementary expertise to deliver the most appropriate refrigeration solution for virtually any industrial application.
A brief description the company and its activities?
Our distinguishing feature is our technology-agnostic approach. We do not start with a specific refrigerant; we start with our customers’ processes. Thanks to our expertise in CO₂, ammonia, propane, HFC/HFO and hybrid systems, we are able to identify the most suitable solution for each project. Combined with our in-house engineering, manufacturing and service capabilities, this enables us to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their refrigeration systems.
What are the company’s main areas of activity?
We operate across virtually every industrial refrigeration sector. Our experience covers retail, distribution centres, refrigerated logistics, food processing, process cooling, fruit and vegetable storage, banana ripening facilities, wineries and a wide range of industrial applications requiring precise temperature control.
Working across such a broad range of markets allows us to transfer expertise between different industries and develop reliable, efficient and tailor-made solutions, regardless of the end application.
What is new in terms of products and services?
Rather than introducing a single new product, we are continuously expanding our capabilities as a Group. The integration of highly specialised companies has strengthened our expertise in ammonia refrigeration, industrial process cooling, service activities and complex industrial applications.
At the same time, we continue to invest in energy efficiency, digital monitoring, heat recovery and advanced service solutions, helping customers improve plant performance, reduce operating costs and maximise system availability throughout the lifecycle of their facilities.

What is your range of products and services?
Our portfolio includes CO₂ transcritical and subcritical systems, ammonia refrigeration plants, low-charge ammonia chillers, HFC/HFO installations, propane applications and hybrid solutions. We also design and build cold rooms, refrigerated warehouses, air handling units, electrical panels, ozone sanitation systems and remote monitoring platforms.
More importantly, we provide a complete engineering service, managing every stage of the project – from design and manufacturing to installation, commissioning, remote monitoring and maintenance – through a single organisation.
What is the current state of the market in which you operate?
Industrial refrigeration is undergoing a profound transformation. Customers are increasingly looking for solutions that combine energy efficiency, sustainability, operational reliability and long-term flexibility, while also complying with evolving environmental regulations.
At the same time, projects are becoming more complex and require greater engineering expertise. Companies are no longer looking simply for equipment suppliers; they need partners capable of understanding their production processes and supporting strategic decisions throughout the entire service life of the installation.
What can you tell us about market trends?
The transition towards refrigerants with a lower environmental impact is undoubtedly one of the main trends shaping our industry. However, we believe there is no single technology that represents the best solution for every application.
Our approach is technology agnostic. We are not committed to any specific refrigerant; we are committed to our customers’ processes. We analyse each customer’s operating conditions, business objectives and technical requirements before selecting the most appropriate technology. Whether the best solution involves CO₂, ammonia, propane, HFC/HFO or hybrid systems depends entirely on the application.
We believe this technological independence is one of the greatest values we can offer, enabling customers to make long-term investment decisions with confidence.

What are the most innovative products and services you offer?
Innovation is not just about introducing new products; it is about integrating technologies to create smarter and more efficient refrigeration systems.
Alongside natural refrigerant solutions, we have invested significantly in digitalisation, energy optimisation and predictive maintenance. Through our TeleGest platform, thousands of installations are monitored remotely 24/7, enabling rapid intervention, continuous performance optimisation and reduced downtime.
By combining engineering expertise, in-house manufacturing and advanced digital services, we create value throughout the entire operating life of every installation.
What are your expectations for the second half of 2026?
We expect the market to continue rewarding companies capable of combining engineering expertise, technological flexibility and high-quality service. Sustainability, digitalisation and energy efficiency will remain the main drivers of investment across the industrial refrigeration sector.
For Frigoveneta Group, the second half of 2026 will be focused on further integrating the expertise of all Group companies, while continuing to invest in engineering, manufacturing capabilities and advanced service solutions.
Our ambition is to strengthen our position as a trusted industrial refrigeration partner by delivering the most appropriate solution for every application, regardless of the technology involved.
