A-PRO2 was founded in 2018 by Diego Dell’Orto. After more than twenty years of experience working for major companies in the mobile machinery sector, he decided to set a new goal and open his own design studio for software and hardware projects.
The company’s mission is clear: to create more efficient solutions and make complex issues easier to manage.
From the very beginning, the company began to grow, and Diego transferred his know-how to a team of young programmers under his leadership.
Interview with Diego Dell’Orto, Founder/General Manager of A-PRO2.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Diego Dell’Orto: Operating in the mobile machinery automation sector, A-PRO2 specializes in software development, hardware design, and consulting on elctronics components for automation. The company’s expertise is particularly focused on lifting and drilling machines, as well as automated harvesters and solar panel cleaning systems.
What’s the news about new products/services?
D.D.O: We created a software ecosystem called MACHINE HUB, designed to simplify all key operations in mobile machinery management — from commissioning and real-time data analysis to remote support during production and after-sales service.
The system includes a desktop application and a gateway with a built-in app that allows tablets or smartphones to be used as the machine’s HMI display. This not only saves time but also makes machinery set up safer and more controlled. By using MACHINE HUB_Desktop together with MH_Gateway both us and our customers can provide remote support to the end user. This way, after-sales service becomes faster and feasible even over long distances.
What are the ranges of products/services?
D.D.O: A-PRO2 offers a comprehensive range of products and services in the field of mobile machinery automation. Our core expertise includes:
- Software development for machine automation and control, calibration, diagnostics, and remote support — including our proprietary platform, Machine Hub.
- Hardware design, with custom solutions tailored to specific machine requirements.
- Consulting services focused on electronic components such as sensors, control units, and communication systems.
- Integration support for OEMs and system integrators, ensuring seamless compatibility across different hardware platforms.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
D.D.O: Customers are looking for solutions that make machinery production more efficient, with a particular focus on high safety control. We have been working in this direction for years, and now our software system, MACHINE HUB, perfectly meets these needs. In Italy, there is also strong institutional support for digital transformation through the Industry 4.0 framework, which further accelerates the adoption of smart technologies in the industrial sector.
What can you tell us about market trends?
D.D.O: It is complex to say considering the different kinds of machinery where our products and services are sold. Some of the sectors are down like heart moving, some is growing a bit like drilling, some is quite stable like lifting machinery.

What estimations do you have for the second half of 2025?
D.D.O: We have a stable situation overview if we consider all kind of machinery and the different markets, consider that we operate in Italy mainly, then France and China.
