naddcon GmbH (New ADDitive CONcepts) is a private development and application centre for industrial 3D printing technology. As a recognised specialist in additive manufacturing, naddcon sees itself as a partner to industrial companies in the development and production of cutting-edge technical components.
This includes prototypes, new products, as well as tools that are promptly integrated into customers’ production processes. naddcon guarantees profitability from a quantity of just one. The company provides the necessary infrastructure, the world’s most advanced technology and specialist expertise.
The company was founded in 2021 as part of the HZG Group by Kerstin and Frank Carsten Herzog in Lichtenfels, Upper Franconia, Germany.
Interview with Christian Steinhage, Managing Director naddcon GmbH.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Christian Steinhage: naddcon is commissioned by customers to develop and manufacture prototypes for products and tools, and for the series production of complex components. This is because, for many products, there are more innovative, faster and more cost-effective solutions available from industrial 3D printers. naddcon advises and supports companies throughout the entire development process – from the initial idea through simulation to series production. Customers have the opportunity to test solutions on-site without making their own investment. naddcon can produce the development results without delay – whether it be a prototype or series production.
The application-oriented approach and entrepreneurial mindset ensure the highest possible cost-effectiveness – in both the process and production.
What’s the news about new products/services?
C.S: naddcon is continuously expanding its range of services in the field of additive manufacturing, focusing on new materials, larger components and highly specialised technologies. A particularly new and innovative development is the use of a silicone printer from Rapid Liquid Print in the USA, which is virtually unique in Europe. This enables naddcon to manufacture complex silicone components using additive manufacturing for the first time, opening up new applications in sectors such as medicine, industry and consumer goods.
In addition, the company is expanding its expertise in processing a wide variety of materials – including polymers, resins, silicone and metal. Customers thus benefit from individually optimised products with improved properties in terms of function, weight, stability and size.
Another focus is on the development of new product architectures: thanks to additive manufacturing, components can be reimagined without the design constraints of traditional manufacturing methods. This unlocks additional functions, reduces material usage and cuts costs.
In two production halls housing a total of eleven industrial 3D printing systems, components up to 1.70 metres in size can now be manufactured. As a result, naddcon is increasingly positioning itself as a development partner for sophisticated and technologically complex manufacturing solutions.
What are the ranges of products/services?
C.S: naddcon develops and manufactures custom components and products using state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies. The company supports customers throughout the entire development process – from consultation and design, through prototypes and functional samples, to small-batch or mass production. This enables companies to test and further develop innovative solutions without having to invest in expensive machinery, production facilities or tools themselves.
In addition, naddcon provides support in optimising existing products, developing new product architectures, and creating spare parts and bespoke solutions. These services are in particular demand in sectors such as mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical and orthopaedic technology, architecture, electrical engineering and, increasingly, the military sector.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
C.S: naddcon GmbH is growing steadily through collaboration with clients from a wide range of sectors. Nevertheless, we continue to see great potential in the field of additive manufacturing. We welcome companies that are ready to break new ground with us and develop innovative solutions using 3D printing.
Additive manufacturing offers significant opportunities, particularly in the current economic climate: companies can respond more quickly, flexibly and efficiently to changing market conditions. By eliminating the need for expensive tools and reducing development times, products can be tested, optimised and implemented more cost-effectively. 3D printing thus not only enables greater freedom of innovation, but also helps companies to make their processes future-proof and competitive.
What can you tell us about market trends?
C.S: A key trend is the growing demand for faster development times and greater flexibility. Particularly in economically challenging times, companies are looking for ways to react more quickly to changing market conditions, shorten supply chains and reduce investment risks. Additive manufacturing offers major advantages here, as products can be developed and produced without expensive tools or long lead times.
What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
C.S: One of the most innovative technologies currently offered by naddcon is silicone printing using Rapid Liquid Print (RLP) technology from the USA. naddcon is one of the few companies in Europe to utilise this exceptional technology, enabling it to additively manufacture complex silicone components.
This opens up entirely new possibilities for sectors such as medical and orthopaedic technology, mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive, design and the military sector. Particularly innovative applications include flexible functional components, ergonomic structures, customised products and large-format silicone components with special material properties.
The technology also enables products to be developed more quickly, significantly expands design freedom and allows for the implementation of solutions that would be difficult or impossible to achieve using traditional manufacturing processes. At the same time, development times can be shortened, material usage optimised and new product concepts tested cost-effectively – without the need for high investment in tools or moulds.
What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?
C.S: We expect the positive trend to continue in the second half of 2026 and intend to consistently pursue our growth trajectory. Demand for innovative and flexible manufacturing solutions continues to rise across many sectors, particularly in mechanical engineering, medical and orthopaedic technology, and in the field of bespoke solutions.
Our aim is to support further customers in successfully implementing their innovative ideas – from the initial concept phase right through to series production. We see great potential in additive manufacturing, as companies are increasingly seeking faster, more efficient and more cost-effective solutions to respond to changing market conditions.
With our technological capabilities, our expertise in materials and innovative solutions such as Rapid Liquid Print’s silicone printing, we aim to continue developing new applications in the future and successfully bring innovative products to market in collaboration with our customers.
