ES Systems is a developer and manufacturer of high-quality sensors based on micro-electronics technologies. ES Systems’, MEMS based, sensors measure pressure, fluid properties and temperature. ES Systems products are ideal for the industrial, medical, HVAC and aerospace markets either as stand-alone components or being integrated within equipment. Towards the latest requirements and developments of the 4th industrial revolution, ES Systems has developed innovative smart, autonomous, low power and wireless sensors ideal for integration to IoT systems and solutions.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
ES Systems: ES Systems has two main areas of activity:
- MEMS sensor development and manufacturing (namely pressure & gas flow) for medical, industrial, HVAC and aerospace applications;
- IoT vertical solution integration (design, development, manufacturing & implementation).
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
ES Systems: ES Systems has developed and released in January 2021, a series of board mountable pressure sensors (ESCP-BMS1) targeting a variety of markets requiring high resolution and accuracy for gas pressure measurements. The ESCP-BMS1 is a silicon capacitive pressure sensor with state-of-the-art performance and exceptional quality. The MEMS pressure sensor die is underpinned by ES’ innovative SOI-surface micromachining technology.
ESCP-BMS1 is ideal for HVAC applications that require differential pressure measurement with high overpressure tolerance.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
ES Systems: Due to the 4rth industrial revolution, the market trend at the moment is to install smart systems in almost every application and industry in order to monitor performance, or quality of service and reduce operational costs. The core of these smart systems is always sensors (of any kind). Therefore, we can expect a big market boom in the sensors industry in the upcoming years.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
ES Systems: Our biggest innovation is that we have developed a unique measurement principle and manufacturing process for pressure sensors (namely MEMS capacitive) that offers outstanding technical performance and long term stability at competitive cost. We have managed to successfully industrialize the MEMS manufacturing process in our foundry not only for absolute but for gauge and differential pressure sensors as well. A feat that few companies have managed globally.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
ES Systems: Following the latest market trends, we expect 2021 to be a vastly expanding year for ES Systems. The huge market growth of the sensor industry is currently affected from the bottleneck of global silicon shortages but we expect to overcome this issue by taking advantage of our deep supply chain and by utilizing our newly purchased factory in order to boost our production capacity.
