What’s the news about new products/services?

Skkynet released Version 11 of the Cogent DataHub this year. This release included significant new security updates, such as robust and very granular user permissions and application access, time-based one-time passwords, and more. Data diode functionality is now also present and enables the use of the Cogent DataHub in very secure environments such as nuclear. Further enhancements include built-in connectivity options for Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, and OPC Classic HDA. MQTT enhancements have also been made.

Skkynet offers the Cogent DataHub software under both a perpetual as well as a software subscription license. Software support and professional industrial data consultation services are also available.

As Skkynet addresses the broad industrial data and automation and control markets, the state of the market in individual sectors can vary greatly. As most will attest, 2025 has been a year that contained significant uncertainty across all industry sectors. However, general market fundamentals have remained robust and Skkynet’s outlook is positive.

As mentioned above, 2025 has been marked by uncertainty. The industrial data operations market is however robust and is being driven by continued IoT build-out, AI exploration and the need for data security. Fortunately for Skkynet, the Cogent DataHub addresses needs put forth by each of these market trends and our business outcomes have therefore been very positive.

Innovation is present everywhere. In my opinion, innovation is most required around the securing of some sort of sustainable future. Fortunately, there are many new products and services being offered that move the world in this direction. For example, significant advancements are being made in wind energy, an industrial sector where the Cogent DataHub is used extensively. Siemens Gamesa, for example, uses the Cogent DataHub to securely move wind turbine data to central control centers in most all their managed wind parks.
