EUROPEAN MARITIME TRANSPORT DEFINES ITS NEXT STEPS AT EMOBILITY EXPO – MOW 2026

Europe is moving towards a new maritime transport model driven by decarbonisation, electrification, multimodality, and the strategic use of data, as well as the adoption of sustainable fuels such as green hydrogen, e-fuels, and biofuels, among others. Regulatory pressure, rising energy costs and international climate commitments are accelerating an unprecedented transformation across ports, shipping companies, logistics operators and passenger transport.

This structural shift will be one of the key highlights of eMobility Expo World Congress – MOW 2026 (10–11 March in Málaga – FYCMA) bringing together 6,000+ professionals, 375+ international speakers and 200+ companies from the sustainable cecosystem.

In this context, the Maritime Transport Forum will bring together leaders from the ports of Barcelona and Málaga, the Andalusian regional ports, and the bays of Cádiz and Algeciras, alongside experts in logistics, energy, maritime tourism and technological innovation. Additionally, executives and representatives from organisations such as the Public Ports and Logistics Network Agency of Andalusia, Transport & Environment, Mercy Ships Spain, Suncruise Andalusia, Dhamma Blue, among others, will share real-world cases and strategies to advance towards a more efficient, competitive and sustainable maritime transport sector.

The Maritime Transport Forum agenda will address:

⚓ Maritime decarbonisation and port electrification

🔋 Sustainable and competitive maritime tourism

🔗 Multimodality for efficient logistics in the EU

📊 Port digitalisation to optimise operations and decarbonise

🚢 First Spanish hydrogen-powered vessel
