DESSICA, SOLUTIONS FOR CONTROLLING HUMIDITY

Dessica is a specialist in dry air technology and its industrial applications for drying and dehumidification. The company’s systems are designed to eliminate and control humidity in the air in industrial buildings.

Dessica offers a global approach of your needs from the design of the solution to commissioning of equipment.

Interview with Aurélie Faure, Marketing and Communications Officer at DESSICA.

What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Aurélie Faure: Dessica systems are designed to eliminate and control humidity in the air in industrial buildings and thus:

  • protect your employees,
  • optimize your production,
  • preserve your production tools.

Dessica offers a global approach of your needs from the design of the solution to commissioning of equipment.

We have been developing our knowledge in the supply of innovative solutions adapted to the dry air requirements of manufacturing processes. These solutions carry out the hygrometric control of premises, the storage of products in dry air or to prevent condensation.

?U
  • carry out the hygrometric control of premises
  • the storage of hygroscopic products in dry air
  • prevent condensation and corrosion of metals
  • eliminate the problems of clogging and caking of pneumatic transports
  • deal with frost and ice problems in frozen product storage
  • dry products, environments, tanks

What’s the news about new products/services?

A.F: In 2023, we launch new ranges of products. Our dehumidification technology via the drying wheel remains unchanged but we are innovating with the modularity and ergonomics of our products. This is at the heart of the design process and is what makes us different. Our customer’s existing installation doesn’t adapt to our machines, it is our machines that adapt, thanks to a unique concept of serial and configurable manufacturing. Their requirements for performance, profitability and energy efficiency match our own, starting with the durability of our products.

For example, we simplify maintenance and replacement of parts thanks to a system of easily interchangeable sub-assemblies.

What are the ranges of products/services?

A.F: The “Process” range specifically targets production, packaging and drying environments while the “Preservation” range offers flexible solutions for treating small volumes of air and small surface areas, while ensuring precise control of humidity.

What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

A.F: We address all markets with great attention paid to those that are very dynamic at the moment: agri-food, pharmaceuticals and energy.

What can you tell us about market trends?

A.F: The market was quiet in 2020 and 2021 during the covid crisis, we have seen an increase this year in 2024 and the trends announced for the second half of 2025 are downwards.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

A.F: STAD dehydration systems are designed to provide accurate dry air quality. These systems offer a complete solution with filtration, heat exchangers, adapted control system… The unit is fully configurable according to your needs and application. STAD Low Dew Point (LDP) systems are modular dehumidification and air treatment units specially designed to treat ait at very

low dew point (from –40°C to –65°C). In particula, watertight and water-vapor sealing is achieved by rubber joints for a high waterproofing of the walls of the casssons an bet weeb circuits. DESSICA systems supply air with a dew point of -60°C, i.e. 0.007g of water per kg of dry air, i.e. 1,000 times less than the initial environment. DESSICA solutions therefore remove 99% of the water in the ambient air.

What estimations do you have for the rest of 2024?

A.F: The year is almost over as we enter the fourth quarter. This last period seems to be dynamic.
