With 37 markets covered and over €150M in revenues in 2022, Menlo Electric establishes a dedicated team to offer a full solution for managing utility-scale solar equipment installations
Menlo Electric, the fastest-growing PV distributor in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), is proud to announce the establishment of a new business line aimed at providing dedicated support to key accounts, including IPPs (Independent Power Producers), EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and developers. The initiative seeks to strengthen Menlo Electric’s commitment to helping clients navigate the challenges of solar projects while offering valuable key benefits to ensure successful project execution.
The new business line will be focused on providing key accounts with large on-stock availability of modules and inverters, a direct point of contact, offering enhanced flexibility in financial terms, access to the latest PV technology equipment, comprehensive project management services, and expedited equipment delivery directly to the customer’s location. By using this approach, clients will be able to streamline the project management process by having a single entity responsible for the project’s entire lifecycle. Primary installations will target projects over 3 MW in capacity.
With 46.1 GW installed in 2022, Europe witnessed a 44% year-on-year increase in its annual solar market, surpassing the capacity installed during the first solar boom, which had less than half of the current capacity. Menlo Electric is ready to offer the best selection of PV equipment, being one of the top three EU distributors for world-leading solar module manufacturers, such as JinkoSolar, JA Solar, and Risen Energy. We are also an official distributor for Sungrow, SolarEdge, Solax, Deye, and FoxESS. Currently, the company plans to concentrate its utility-scale projects activities on markets in Poland, Germany, Spain and Italy, with further expansion plans into Benelux, Balkans and rest of the Europe.
Filip Sypko is heading the new venture as the General Manager. He is a seasoned professional with 11 years of experience as an entrepreneur and manager. His extensive journey in the solar industry spans over 5 years, during which he has demonstrated his expertise in utility-scale and C&I (Commercial and Industrial) solar projects. Filip’s track record includes overseeing industrial-scale projects in six markets, boasting a total capacity of over 2 GW. His comprehensive understanding of the solar industry, from greenfield development to supply chain management, positions him to lead this new business successfully.
Filip Sypko expresses his vision, saying, “In such a dynamic environment, Menlo Electric’s new business line comes as a reliable and steadfast solution. As the solar industry experiences periods of volatility and rapid growth, we aim to be perceived as a stable and dependable partner for our clients. Sometimes, even large players are not able to secure all their needs on time. We understand the challenges and uncertainties they may face, and we are committed to providing the necessary support and guidance to navigate through them successfully. Our mission is clear: to be the go-to partner for utility-scale and C&I solar projects, providing cutting-edge technology and unwavering support for our clients. We are not merely a distributor of solar components; we are a strategic partner, offering end-to-end solutions that cater to the specific needs and goals of each client”.
One of the examples of already completed projects is the construction of a Polish PV farm in collaboration with Lithuania’s Ignitis Group, featuring Jinko Solar modules. The first phase of the project utilized over 30,000 Tiger Pro bifacial modules, each with a power capacity of 540 Wp, sourced from the world-leading manufacturer, Jinko Solar. The installation completed during this phase will generate sufficient electricity to power 6,000 households with clean solar energy.
With its firm commitment to sustainability and renewable energy solutions, Menlo Electric is confident that it will provide substantial support to key accounts in their solar projects, ensuring a reliable and efficient transition to renewable energy solutions.
