agiplan.ch is the intralogistics consulting and planning brand of the T&O Group in Switzerland. The company supports industrial and logistics companies throughout the entire lifecycle of logistics investments, from strategic concept development and detailed engineering to manufacturer-neutral tendering, implementation support and commissioning.
Their independence from equipment suppliers and system providers enables agiplan.ch to recommend solutions solely based on clients’ operational and economic objectives. agiplan.ch’s core expertise includes warehouse automation, warehouse management systems (WMS), material flow systems (MFS), conveyor technology and system integration.
Interview with Remo Eggimann, CEO at agiplan.ch / T&O Group Schweiz AG.
What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Remo Eggimann: Through the agiplan.ch brand, we support the entire lifecycle of an intralogistics project. It starts with logistics planning, where we develop concepts for warehouse, distribution and production logistics that provide a solid foundation for future investment decisions. During the tender phase, we compare and evaluate automation and WMS solutions on a manufacturer-neutral basis, enabling our clients to select the solution that best fits their requirements. During realization, we supervise the logistics implementation on site and coordinate the interfaces between general contractor, system integrators and the client. In our experience, projects are more likely to fail because of communication than technology. Finally, we support commissioning and performance testing until the agreed operational targets are demonstrably achieved.
What’s the news about new products/services?
R.E: Two developments are currently at the forefront. The first is our Logistics Health Check, a compact consulting format that provides companies with a fast, fact-based assessment of the performance of their logistics processes and systems without requiring a large consulting project upfront.
The second is the continued expansion of the agiplan.ch brand as an independent Owner’s Representative and Second Opinion Provider. Many projects are already underway when we are brought in, often because technical issues remain unresolved, schedules are slipping or trust between project partners has deteriorated. In these situations, we act as an independent sparring partner for senior management, helping projects regain direction without restarting them. This role clearly differentiates us from traditional planning consultancies that are typically involved only at the beginning of a project.

What are the ranges of products/services?
R.E: Our services are built around three closely connected pillars: consulting, planning and realization.
In consulting, we support strategic decisions such as logistics network studies, make-or-buy analyses, warehouse optimization, second opinions and the selection of logistics software, including WMS, MFS and TMS solutions.
Planning covers everything from initial concepts and logistics strategies through detailed engineering to manufacturer-neutral tendering with clearly defined technical specifications.
During realization, we support implementation and commissioning, coordinate the interfaces between construction, IT and logistics, represent our clients as Owner’s Representative and ensure that cost, schedule and quality remain under control until the system performs reliably in daily operation.
What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
R.E: The market remains challenging, with companies making investment decisions carefully and focusing strongly on long-term competitiveness. At the same time, we see clear shifts within Europe. Countries such as Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic have developed into strong industrial locations with increasing value creation of their own. As a result, intralogistics projects in these regions are becoming more sophisticated and are planned to the same standards as projects in Western Europe.
What can you tell us about market trends?
R.E: The clear trend is towards logistics systems that remain adaptable over many years. As product lifecycles become shorter, companies increasingly combine conventional automation with flexible technologies such as AGVs and AMRs where greater adaptability is required. At the same time, warehouse systems must be designed with sufficient reserve capacity to respond to changing production requirements. Today, successful logistics planning means planning for continuous change rather than for a fixed state.

What are the most innovative products/services marketed?
R.E: One of our most innovative consulting capabilities is simulation-based logistics planning. Instead of relying solely on static calculations, we simulate material flows and production scenarios under realistic operating conditions. This allows potential bottlenecks and capacity limits to be identified long before implementation begins, reducing project risks and providing clients with a sound basis for investment decisions.
This approach is backed by the experience gained from more than 700 completed logistics projects across Switzerland and Central Europe, ensuring that our recommendations are both technically sound and practical.
What estimations do you have for the second half of 2026?
R.E: Despite the challenging market environment, investment activity remains solid. Companies continue to invest in automation where it strengthens competitiveness and increases operational resilience. We therefore expect demand for carefully planned, economically viable logistics solutions to remain stable during the second half of 2026. Companies that make the right investment decisions today will secure long-term competitive advantages for the years ahead.
