NEARLY 80,000 PEOPLE AT THE AGROTECH EXPO IN KIELCE, POLAND. THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER MACHINES, CONTRACTS AND DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE

Targi Kielce in Poland has once again become the meeting centre for the agricultural industry. Over 500 exhibitors from 21 countries presented the latest solutions for farms, attracting nearly 80,000 visitors to the International Fair of Agricultural Techniques AGROTECH. Exhibitors highlighted strong, tangible interest in their offerings – with contracts for tractors and agricultural machinery signed on-site during the event. A new addition was the Agro Africa B2B Forum, which hosted 150 business meetings and resulted in 36 contracts between Polish and African companies.

Europe’s agricultural centre in Kielce

From 13 to 15 March, the Kielce exhibition and congress centre was vibrant with exceptional energy and the glow of new products. Expo, which spans 11 expo halls, was where farmers learned about the world’s latest agricultural technology, negotiated prices, and discussed ways to develop the industry. The offerings of over 500 companies were carefully explored by farmers, equipment distributors, and representatives of agricultural and forestry businesses from Poland and across Central Europe, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia, as well as from Africa.  Premiere presentations were a hit, including Deutz Fahr 8, New Holland T4F AC, and JCB Fastrac 6300. These tractors were displayed in Poland for the first time.

Exhibitors emphasised the value of these conversations, which provide clear insights into how to modernise their offerings to meet emerging challenges. During the fair, contracts were also signed for tractors, field and farm machinery, fertilizers, and agricultural inputs; the extensive list includes the Case IH and New Holland brands, as well as Wanicki Agro – the John Deere distributor, Lukpol Agro – the Massey Ferguson distributor, NIVA TOP – a manufacturer of a harvester for leaf crops, Agrihandler – a supplier of autonomous robots, Bury Maszyny Rolnicze – a manufacturer of sprayers, SIP – a manufacturer of grass mowing and harvesting machines, MERLO – a manufacturer of telescopic handlers, HARDI POLSKA – a manufacturer of sprayers, and Maschio Gaspardo – a manufacturer of sowing and cultivation machines, discuss specific commercial matters.

Knowledge and advice for farmers at the Agrotech Expo

In the Congress Centre, experts from agricultural institutions, research institutes and advisory centres provided information on subsidies and innovative solutions in farm management.  – Farmers come to us not only to try and taste products from Świętokrzyska Kuźnia Smaków, but also to learn how to increase the profitability of their production. We talk about the opportunities offered by being part of a producer group, for example, Agnieszka Pietrzak, director of the Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Centre in Modliszewice, reported.

The future of agriculture, the machinery market and renewable energy were also the subject of discussions organised by the editorial offices of Polska Press, as well as “Wieści Rolnicze” and “Rzeczpospolita”.

Forum featuring Africa and 36 agreements

The key event accompanying the Agrotech trade fair was the premiere Agro Africa B2B Forum, where representatives of 36 Polish companies met with 50 representatives of business and agricultural organisations from African countries – Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, South Sudan, Algeria, Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Burundi, Tanzania and Côte d’Ivoire. – Manufacturers of agricultural machinery and exhibitors at the Agrotech trade fair clearly communicated the need to find new export directions during last year’s expo.  Africa is a very absorbent market; thus, with the involvement of the Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, we organised the Agro Africa B2B Forum. 150 meetings represent a significant number of opportunities for cooperation and export opportunities,” emphasises Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce.  As part of the Forum, 36 cooperation agreements were signed to supply agricultural machinery, spare parts, fertilisers, and food products, among other items. Targi Kielce has signed cooperation agreements with the SIPSA FILAHA agricultural fair in Algeria and the Sub-Saharan African Farmers Organisation in Zambia to promote the Agrotech fair in Africa.

Las-Expo – machines in motion

The Las-Expo timber industry and forestry trade fair has been a perfect fit for 25 years now, reflecting the atmosphere of the Agrotech trade fair. Exhibitors presented modern machines for logging and wood processing, professional tools, and solutions supporting forestry and municipal management. The launches of new equipment generated considerable interest, including the TTX-450 circular sawmill from Amix, the Husqvarna 564 XP chainsaw with low-pressure fuel injection, the TigerCat 1165 harvester from Aurox Forestry Machinery, and the timber-sawing line integrated with the W-IREX timber-sorting and edging system. The live demonstrations of the machines in action were very impressive. Live power in motion – chips flying high made visitors learn about the machines’ precision and capabilities.

Agrotech – the an impulse for industry

The events at Targi Kielce again proved to be a place for intensive business meetings and knowledge exchange. For companies, expos are a platform for presenting technologies and talking to customers; for farmers, a platform for learning about new solutions and communicating expectations. Declarations for 2027 are pouring in—even from company reps who visited this year—signalling record-breaking success ahead! All the more so because Agrotech 2027 will also be bigger and bolder in the new Targi Kielce expo hall with an area of 18,000 square meters.
